    MSE might like people to think in terms of 'MSE tactic' but in fact it's natural for networks to try and retain customers by offering reasonable deals if they have to, to compete with what's available elsewhere, and they have been doing it since long before MSE was invented.

    Perhaps there are commercial reasons for them not to try so hard these days, and the raised expectations of more customers who read MSE may be a factor, but I don't think it's relatively of great significance.
