I know many people a lot older than 16 who drop their mates when they've met a new squeeze!
Have a calm chat with your son, reassuring him that you like his partner and are happy he's found someone special, but that you know from experience it's a shame to lose touch with good friends and that there should be room in life to fit everyone in. Being a teenager he will no doubt ignore this of course!
I know someone who had one intense best friend at university, but had a massive falling out with them towards the end of their final year. As they never talked to them again, it means they now have no friends from their uni days. This seems a real shame. They are an EYESORES!!!!0 -
I've spoken to my son about it and he says he will try to see his friends more aswell. I suggested that he could go out shopping with them as they used to all the time he's going to ask his 2 best friends.0
