Myself and my colleague got one last year so I don't expect to get one this year at all. Its awful isn't it. I wish my wages would increase slightly to cover the pension payments at least!
Sorry to hear you are also in the same boat too I suspect the increases will have affected many. When budgets are so tight it feels any tiny increase is a catastrophe
oh well time to adjust accordingly and get on with it I guess.
I haven't had a pay rise since April 2016 and won't be getting one any time soon unless I get a new job. I've been considering taking on a second job but with tax I don't know if it would be worth it especially as I'd be leaving my teen alone most evenings after being at work 9-5 min-fri I can't work weekends at the min.19-02-18 Total Debt £30,322

Doing well on prolific at the minute, cashed out £5 last week and nearly got £10 just waiting for the pending payments to clear. I'll add that to my EF when I cash out bringing my EF to £280/£300 my goals this month (15th March-15th April) are to get my EF to £300 and pay £200 off my next account which would bring it down to £250.19-02-18 Total Debt £30,322

I go through phases with prolific. Sometimes I get loads and then I get none for what feels like ages! Oh and thank you for using the code
.
Well done on bring so close to your EF target.0 -
No problem, I'm so close to £10 I can't wait to cash it out! Been using Shoppix and receipt hog but finding it very slow building up points. Do you get many surveys on there? I've not had any. Thank you, I'm really pleased x19-02-18 Total Debt £30,322

Shoppix I get a survey once a week so I am sure you will do too. Receipthog I don't think I have ever had a survey on there. That one is definitely slower but I just thought well I am taking pictures of receipts anyway. I think also with shoppix you get scratch cards if you upload a receipt every week. You don't always win but the other day I won two lots of 100 tokens. I'm so close to getting my second voucher in there and only been doing it a couple of months.
Do you have a tablet as that is the only way I could get shopprize to work. But that one seems to be quicker to build up as you get coins just for logging in each day.0 -
Hi poppy, just had a read of your diary and wanted to say you are doing amazing :-)
Just wanted to say about the gift buying. I really really struggled with cutting out buying presents as I've always been massive with giving gifts but I've just had to be honest and say to people. Agree with enthusiastic saver in the fact that they'd be horrified to know you couldn't afford it and were paying anyway. Home made fudge etc sounds lovely. I'd much prefer that as means you've taken the time out to do that. It's so much more thoughtful xx0 -

Ah right I see, thank you I'll keep going on them, I've had a couple of scratch cards. I can't seem to find shopprize I've looked on my iPhone and iPad.19-02-18 Total Debt £30,322

Hiya! Thank you, yes it's been very tough but they all know now. At first I was really upset then I was chatting with my brother and he reminded me how we were brought up as a family of 4 my parents didn't buy for all their family and friends just us and that was quite usual.
It's lovely to get gifts for people and I love to give but this day and age most people have everything they need anyway. I really like the minamilist way of life so it fits well into that too.
