Nudged car while parking, no damage

Hi MSE-ers,
While parallel parking on my road, I nudged another car (my rear bumper, their front, extremely slowly). I went and parked in a bigger space and as I was getting out of the car, a woman was waiting for me saying "I saw you hit my car" - I immediately apologised and walked straight back to look at her car (which I'd planned to do anyway once I'd parked). I couldn't see any damage, but as it was dusk I asked my partner to bring a light from the car just to be sure. At no point did this woman look at her car, either with or without the light, but she was being very verbally aggressive to me. She wanted my details, I asked why seeing as there was no damage so she went to my car to write down the reg. We then swapped addresses and she went back in her house.
My question is - should I report this to my insurance company? I took photos of her car and I have her reg and address. The policy says to "tell us immediately, if you... are involved in an accident, no matter how trivial and regardless of blame" - which I guess covers this. Am I right? Has anyone been in a similar situation?
I've written down as much as I can remember just in case.
Thanks all

Strictly speaking you haven!!!8217;t been involved in an accident you are aware of.
So the question is, having exchanged details what is this woman planning to do?0 -

Probably claim for full re-spray and wiplash injury:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
My main worry is that she will report it, and they will ask why I haven't and it would make me look bad. But we have photos showing no damage.0

As I said, there’s been no accident you are aware of.
There may however be damage under the bumper, you may have caused that or it may have been done at another time and the woman is going to pin it on you.0 -

Thank you.
That's a possibility I guess. So am I best to tell my insurance company?0 -

I would give it at least a few days. Wait and see what happens.Mortgage free

Be wary of informing your insurance company when you don't intend to claim etc. I did this after someone knocked my car when parking in a multi storey - I didn't claim anything but just notified them. I've since had several occasions where my insurance has gone up because of that phone call, including increasing my cover on my sons car by £50 a month!0

Well done for taking photos that may well cause the woman to rethink what action to take . Agree with others, see what develops over the next few days.
If contacted by my insurance company I would deny that an accident had taken place and that you only took photos because of what the woman said.0
