It says in the letter I received that I can arrange a home visit to ensure that the assessment of points is accurate. I think I'll get all my evidence together and then arrange for them to come round. I guess I've got nothing to lose (well.....hopefully not points anyway!!!).

Word of advice. DO NOT move your bed into the lounge prioer to thier assessment. I would also recommend- if at all possible, getting a table/desk in the lounge ( freecycle if you dont have one?) and stacking up kids schoolwork around with maybe a HM screen of some sort, showing clearly that this is the area the children do school work, and would impact on education....

And this is only a 'wonder' - and please just ignore me if there are good reasons for keeping it - but would life be easier if you 'downsized' your bed? You'd have more space, for starters ...
