I've just had my day in court - just over a year since the first notification from Excel; failure to convince the IAS and many letters/threats from debt recovery agents. We did not have legal representation, just stuff picked up online. Our defence was that we made all reasonable endeavours to comply with the contractual terms - why would the machine dispense a ticket of the wrong format if the system already had our plate number to check against (also no 2 digit plates in the UK). The Judge (rather quickly) found in our favour - he seemed particularly interested that Excel could not explain what loss they'd incurred! Now for a letter to my MP!0 -
