    so its a either a problem with the microphone on his handset or speaker on yours. wot happens when you receive or make calls from/to other numbers? similarly whats his call like when he makes/receives a call to/from others?

    the default number usually is one of the above what make of phone and model number is it as if you don't have the manual (security number is shown in the manual)they are normally easy to download from the manufactures web site

    i set it back to factory settings and we still have the problem, so i figure its a microphone problem, thanks for everyones help

    Would agree it is a microphone problem, which phone is it? They can be replaced fairly easily on some phones

    If the phone is less than two years old then you should be able to take to your nearest nokia service centre. Should be fixed under the European 2 year warranty.

    Otherwise the mic can be picked up on ebay for around £2-£4... I replaced the one in my N73.. hardest part was opening the phone, but was good fun to do (your OH might enjoy it)

  • Do you and your hubby only speak to each other.

    If other people can hear him, then the problem is with your phons earpiece.

    If you can hear other people then the problem is with his microphone.

    My misses always shuts off when i speak to her, so maybe its a compatibility issue. :rolleyes:

    everyone who rings him cant hear him, but he can hear everyone, its a microphone problem, it makes sense.
  • hello the problem with your phone is the mic it needs replacing depending on the phone it cost beween 10-25 ad you can get it done in any moble phone repair centre let me know wat area u live in ad i will find u your nearest one
