I'm currently stalling on redecorating a room to be a Nursery - I really want to get some stuff from Ikea but there is a deadline on when it needs to be done! (End of January) so it will be interesting to see how busy it really gets. ;)

Been to the Glasgow, Edinburgh and Bristol stores over the years and always wished I could bring back bigger stuff! My wait is over!!!

  • On this, I signed up for a card and catalogue in town on saturday. The guy giving them out said it was a loyalty card and that it entitled you to 25% discount but I was in a hurry and I didn't get to check what that discount was on exactly. Does anyone know what it applies to? I would absolutely love one of their big clothes storage systems (sort of like a wardrobe but they include shelves, rails etc and you can design them yourself!) but it would cost at least £1000 ....

I've signed up for the family card, or something, on the new stores site. also entitles you to free tea or coffee on weekdays in their restaurant.

I'll not be near it until about February I reckon, let the initial rush ease a bit!

I have had an Ikea family card for a while now (go to Glasgow and Gateshead a lot ) Its 25% off Ikea family range - eg washing up liquid, soap, shower gel, some household things and then a few selected items around the store, in October it was light that had 25% off. Its not everything in the store.

You know online, not everything is available either.

When you go to the store, be prepared to come out with batteries, light bulbs, candles and some glasses, they are the things you get everytime if you need them or not:rotfl:
