Good stuff - I can't wait to spend hours in a traffic jam on the roads outside IKEA this Christmas waiting to get in to look round!0

I was chatting to one of the managers wives a few weeks ago and was saying how mad the trarffic is gonna be when it opens and she laughed and said dont be silly, they arnt expecting any decent interest in it as it will be so close to christmas that people wont be thinking about doing up their houses ect!!..................boy are they in for a shock!!!!!!!!
Ive been told by my family-pleaded with infact-not to be one of the ones being trampled to death on the first day it opens ( ive compromised though by saying i wont take any of the kids, lol)
I CANT WAIT!!!!!!it takes more energy
to hate than to love...
love and relax!0 -
I reckon I'll avoid Ikea until about Mid-February, let the initial surge get over. I reckon it will be very busy, after all, people travel from North and South to Ikea in Glasgow etc, so there's bound to be plenty that will come up from the ROI to the Belfast store, seeing as the Dublin one won't be opening for a couple of years yet.Norn Iron Club Member No. 252 :beer:0

And by mid 2008 ... everybodies house will look the same0

I can't wait :j, but will leave it until about February. Might have some more money gathered up after the christmas festivites by then!!0

With an outlet here, maybe they will finally activate on-line ordering/delivery for NI, which when I last enquired, they wouldn't do [usual mainland only excuse]- and we can all avoid the queues! I have been writing to them over the past 15+ years about opening over here -they told me there was no market for them in NI: lol. Wonder what's changed their mind!0
-
They probably finally realized the amount of NI people going over to Scotland meant that there was a market.
I've been in contact with them for the past few years too, even when Dublin was announced they still said they had no interest in Northern Ireland. I suppose that combined with the current peaceful political climate here has helped0
