No,I wont open either of those accounts thanks very much,I do not jump through hoops for anyone especially TT. I`ll get there with the advice from MSE members"2010" & "onomatopoeia99"....and member by the name of "JJ Egan",that suggested several posts back,to contact the CAB ;) Quote:- "Citizens Advice Bureau and ask them about getting legal assistance."

All traces of Facebook accounts are supposed to be notoriously difficult to erase...and I know nothing about twitter, apart from what lawyer Cameron said.

I`m on the case, now I`ve been given good advice by the aforementioned folk on here.I`m using the pincer movement.I only asked for an email address for the CAB.

Please no more criticism on my approach,or telling me I should do as I`m told by TT,who couldn`t even provide me with links!
    Only constructive advice,thanks again 2010 and onomatopoeia99.

There is no central email address for CAB.

Many local offices have their own email service. Mine does - I was answering them yesterday.

Thanks NeilCr,I`ll continue trying to access their Web Chat....3rd day of trying tomorrow...third time lucky?
When eventually they answer, hopefully they`ll have an email address for one of my local offices.
Googling hasn`t come up with one.

Have you tried going through here

    https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk

Scroll down to find your local office

It is possible they do not do emails. Different offices work in different ways.

    Houtman,

I have just read your very first post on this thread again, although a bit rambling, basically TT have not provided the service that you were entitled to receive.

From reading the post it seems you have gathered enough evidence of their "skullduggery" to warrant court action.

They have NOT provided the service that they promised to and so have broken their contract with you.

Forget about citizens advice and Ofcom.
You have legal rights, so use them.

You need to work out exactly what TT owe you and send a letter to their head office stating FACTS and telling them if you don`t receive satisfactory compensation by one calendar month from the date of your letter you will issue a small claims court summons.

    https://www.gov.uk/make-money-claim-online

This is fairly easy to do and you`ll find when the summons is issued TT will jump over hoops to help you.

Thanks for that link NeilCr,I typed in my postcode and my two local CAB offices popped up,one with no email link and the other with one underneath it.I clicked on that link and it took me in a loop right back where I started, haha.Back to trying web chat tomorrow, because I need advice on another matter.

Thanks very much 2010,your suggested course of action better fits my circumstances.Generally I reckon I`m as tough as old boots, but TT really ground me down....and I`ll be posting more details on how Open Reach performed too.Someone has just pointed out that an effigy of their van was burned on Bonfire night....now why doesn`t that surprise me.I did try to get a record of all their visits from Open Reaches India office, because I didn`t log every single one.The way the Open Reach staff in India reacted was like a posh version of the BT lot I had to deal with before my TalkTalk nightmare began.Back in the days when regular unsolicited calls from BT`s suspected rogue staff spin-offs,eg chaps who could barely speak English, but went by the name of Michael,or Dave etc from "Microsoft".Taped a few of them.
My elderly uncle emailed me today,he`s recently signed with BT,just received an email saying his Internet would stop working within 24hrs unless he clicked on a link...sounds like they`re still up to their old tricks. He`s very cautious, was in army communications,he hasn`t been giving his details to anyone. He`s as sharp as they come.

Today I received my first email from the CAB,and have a case number and I can now write to the local office re TalkTalk.I still cannot use the phone due to speech issues.
In spite of TalkTalk confirmation that they are dealing with my complaints re appalling service/non-service,fabricated charges, compensation due, etc(same old story since May 2017),I received an email this morning suggesting I pay my fabricated bill to avoid late payment charge.
Yesterday I received a letter from TalkTalk telling me it`s been 8 weeks since I raised my complaint(that`ll be one of many!)....but no comment on what they`ve done about contacting me to resolve my complaints. Before my mouth operation I spoke with them for many hours during many calls to them.In yesterday`s letter they provided CISAS details for me to proceed that way.
Today I receive a Moorcroft Debt Recovery letter.
As usual,no TalkTalk depts talk-talk to each other.
I liked 2010`s idea of dealing with them, but have been waiting for TalkTalk to offer me compensation and revise the billing they fabricated, before taking action 2010`s way....but TalkTalk can`t be bothered. The best they manage is a totally unrelated answerphone message they leave, banging on about if my Internet is working now.
I record everything...but who`s going to listen through hours of their BS,lies,time-wasting,avoidance tactics?
TalkTalk have put comments up on this thread, but only give Facebook&twitter connections, which I don`t belong to.
Why can`t they just provide an email address,I`ve made it clear I cannot talk due to mouth surgery.I tried writing to them, but never had a reply back.Do they bin letters from their customers?
How do I respond to The debt recovery lot?
Positive suggestions encouraged, thank very much in advance.

I would ask CAB re debt recovery and how to handle as it's part of the same issue

Lots of good information on dealing with bailiffs here

Thanks Neil,I`ll have a good read, forewarned is forearmed.
It`s not going to come to that,TalkTalk don`t know their backside from their elbow, what with three conflicting forms of content in their letters&email within the last two days. They`ve had many months to address their errors and adjust the billing and admit their wrongs.I`m relieved I recorded all the relevant calls.

Suddenly the page format for this site has gone to about 10x width for some strange reason. Not with any of the other threads I have open at the moment.

I`m struggling to find any acceptable ID to put in my info request to TT.I don`t have a driving licence,no passport,no birth cert handy,no recent other utility....and it`s no business of TT to see my bank statement.
Also the tenner charge could be taken off what they owe me!......

    Their site(thanks to onomatopoeia99)

I would like to thank everyone who took the time to respond to my request for advice re dealing with TalkTalk.

The Ombudsman were as much use as a chocolate teapot....actually less so,at least one could eat a choc teapot.Discussing them with friends and acquaintances, phrases such as "Govt quango","not fit for purpose","absolutely useless",and much stronger, popped up regularly.
I would especially like to offer the Useless Award to a certain Neil Dumb-browsky for his total failure to mediate between little old me and the Multinational, ruling in their favour, believing their lies, fabrications and BS.
I then single-handedly took on TalkTalk and wiped the floor with them, they were forced to waive over £400 in billing, but the most their individual was permitted to offer me without yet more time-wasting escalations, re "free" Internet/phone usage, was 6months.After being without any contact with the outside world,I was so desperate to order food, meds, contact sick family etc,I reluctantly accepted.A neighbour received 18months from Sky for much less hassle than I`d experienced.
I feel this is not finished yet.Usually one gets a feeling of satisfaction, closure, but not for me....even before yesterday`s inappropriate bar on my Internet/phone.
