Out of curiosity, are prizes eligible for the following month's draw, or do they have to wait 2 months due to being paid just after the beginning of the calendar month?

They have to be for a complete month. So best time to buy would be say 30th October, then they would be eligible for the December draw

Prizes converted to bonds are eligible for the next month, unlike normal bond purchases:

Quote : The new Bonds will qualify for inclusion in the draw for the month after the date of purchase. Bonds will be treated as being bought on the first day of the month in which the prize was won and will be subject to the terms and conditions current on that date.

I like people who do the lottery. They paid my salary for six years, refurbished my local war memorial and now have guaranteed a group I belong to will continue another year. I wouldn't do the lottery myself though. That would be stupid.;)

Don’t forget all the reflected glory from British success in recent olympics, financed by all those who picked the wrong numbers on their lottery tickets. Which is most people who play the lottery.

I’m a lottery virgin myself (at least I can say that) - the 1 in 14 million put me off.
