PS. Here's the free Kaspersky if anybody is wondering...
https://usa.kaspersky.com/downloads/thank-you/free-antivirus-download
It contains the same anti-virus components as Kaspersky Internet Security.
Info here https://support.kaspersky.com/us/12961
(And for the OPs information, or anybody else would like the extra "bloat" of KIS, you can get it for £4 -3 devices for a year-...

They didn't rate Malwarebytes or Windows own A/V too highly, although they are popular with many folk[/url]
Interesting. Av that which magazine takes a kick back from is rated higher than av that they make nothing from?"The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0 -

My mind is blown, I can't believe people are paying for AV software let alone from a MS site.
Then justify it by saying that free alternatives (which are better anyway) aren't the full programs.
As mentioned previously there is Bitdender, avast, sophos. Throw in programs such as CCleaner and youre good to go.

It actually says:-
Kaspersky Internet Security 2017 1PC - 1 Year - 1 Device - Anti virus for £3.99 @ digits.mart eBay
£3.99
Why would anyone sell Kaspersky for less than they were charged unless there is something odd with it?0 -

I had been using Kaspersky for years (free for Barclays customers) but I have changed to Bitdefender following the news that Kaspesky works with Russian goverment spooks. I must say Bitdefender is very good indeed and I would reconmend it even if you have to pay for it, I paid £20 for the download version direct from the company 5 machines per year. A small price to pay for peace of mind."Imagination is more Important than knowledge"0

I use Bitdefender and paid £0 for multiple machines per year.0

i don't use bitdender or any paid av and have piece of mind"The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0
