What small mse things will you do this week? 05/02

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.

Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :money:

    * dinner will be sloppy joes :)
    * take note of mileage
    * babysitting for a friend tonight for an hour - my good deed for the day!
    * finish book tonight
    * make sure madam's bag is ready
    * ask oh to give me £10 for ASC
    * get lunches ready tonight for tomorrow

    That's it! Have a great day

    Morning DNMS & all who follow,
    Am up, am dressed, am fortified with coffee & about to start on today's jobs, several of which involve moneysaving. I need a good day......in fact, I need a productuve week. I bet we could all do with one of those, so let's see what we can achieve by going for a really stonking week. We KNOW these small things add up!
    Talk to you later when I hope to be back to kick in a really good list.
    Up & at it, Money Savers!

    Morning all :hello: thanks for starting us off DNMS is it new job this week?

    My list for today:

    No shower ;) will wear a wool hat on the school run :rotfl:
    Feed friends cat as they are away. They do the same for us, saves us both a fortune in chattery fees
    Some more washing, dry on rads/airer
    Order belt for td as didn’t do this yesterday
    Sneak peak at the resources I’ve bought for work that are being delivered today on well-being and mindfulness. Photograph any pages of use
    Tea from stores
    Dd and DH packed lunches
    I’ll have leftovers from yesterday
    Make tomorrow’s lunches
    Try and leave heating off whilst working from home and use a blanket instead
    Some yoga and free fitness at home tonight
    Check banking an update sheet, got some dividend payments coming in tomorrow that I can see on my bank, not loads but as I wasn’t expecting it, it will go to LPDF.

    Right, off to get last bits ready for school.

    Morning all :)
    Thanks for the start DNMS - is today the first day of your new job? :j

    OK, today's plans look like this:
    OH will walk the dog, as walking helps his recovery :) I will probably go with him this afternoon if the weather is ok (if not the dog won't walk far anyway!)
    Make some scones, and a loaf :)
    Get soup out of freezer for lunch :)
    Peg washing done last night out on line
    Shift the rest of the logs from the garage to the woodshed, while OH is out this morning. I don't mind doing it at all (if fact I will enjoy it), but he will want to help if I do it when he is here, and I don't want him to do anything to jeopardise his recovery.
    Check banks and update spreadsheet :)
    Some cleaning
    Check for surveys
    All food from home, thinking of making macaroni cheese for dinner :)

    Morning folks

    Happy new week.

    DMNS - good luck for today

    Hugs to anyone that needs them

    One of those days that you could do with being over. OH is getting the car sorted. He's rung the breakdown company so he can get towed to the garage. Hoping that it is a case of replacing the glow plugs and not a large expense... - new battery. Am stunned because battery quite new and seemed ok but at least that's all it was

    On the plus side, I found my hat... in the drawer where it should have been :o
    In my defence, OH had been in the drawer unbeknownst to me and pushed it to the bottom and back of the drawer and it hadn't occurred to me to look that far in as I use it every day.

    Not a very mse day planned... a couple of small spends required but hopefully will bring good karma as they are kind deeds.
    • B/D from stores
    • Post yarn to freegler - £105.54

    • Cross fingers and hope that car is cheap to repair - £105.54 but we have money set aside for these things.
    • Finish off big shop as d/t car breaking down, I couldn't carry all of it and had to be selective.
    • Walk to and from work
    • Work on crochet scarf to match hat
    Well, have a good one folks

    Hi February Fabulistas,

    A wee day off. Thought it was quiet. I was on last week's thread! :rotfl:

    Debt Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Three:

    * Good, homemade, sustaining breakfast before I leave the house.

    * Visit library. Exchange books. Snaffle some wifi downloading while there.

    * Get a haircut. Going to have a dry cut to save money. Actually hate going to salons. They're so very not "me". Had a dry cut. £12. Bargain.

    * Work very hard on my own mental health issues. Do Day 6 of App.

    * Hunt again for my sunglasses which are still missing. No sign, most odd.

    * Check online banking.

    * Turn off alarm clock until tonight, it resets itself automatically.

    * Get some exercise.

    * Homemade soup from the freezer for lunch.

    * Found 20p.

    * Bought DW a charity shop book for her birthday box.

    Onwards and upwards.

    Lol, Ally.....well, I have entered the lower echelons haven't I, & am regularly encouraged by my comrades to go further, but I have no intentions of doing so. I am actually finding I enjoy the charity stuff I do more, though I will always be active politically.
