Now please realize that if the meat I purchased from Kane was eatable I would NOT be so annoyed he should not be selling under false pretenses

Hi all posted earlier about poor quality virtually uneatable kane family butchers meat, well had a look as per a comment posted about one of his butchers saying it was imported and yes the sirloins origin SPAIN probably a poor bull murdered by a matador?? QUOTE as per reply (Most of the meat is imported which is why it's so cheap ( I know one of the butchers working there)!!!

Phoned young lady in office alleged meat is all local requested Kane phone me still waiting but did manage to liaise on messenger with Mark Kane he informed me that yes meat all northern irish and that his butchers made a mistake labeling???

I would imagine comments like that could be considered slanderous?

"Cheap butchers supplies cheap cuts of meat!" Oh the Scandal!

It used to be, if you went somewhere and got something you didnt like, then next time you just went elsewhere. We used to call it "voting with your feet".

Now it seems, you have to relentlessly drag up your one bad experience ad nauseam wherever possible and slander the company online (and anonymously of course) rather than just Move On.

No world shortage of butchers. Use another one.
  • So The Girl in The Office said It was Imported a post above suggests also, but the Owner says It is all Local NI meat ?

No, the O/P said the owner said it was all local NI meat.

Nowhere on their website does it say its all local NI meat.

I've just messaged them on Facebook and asked was their meat all locally sourced.

Got the response "All beef sourced from Ireland and Northern Ireland. Some of our poultry is sourced from Europe. All traceability available on all items"

So, the one in the freezer is your evidence, how did Kanes respond to that?

If you have a genuine concern and not satisfied with Kane's explanation, Food Standards Agency of local Environmental Health Officer would be your next port of call.
  • yes in the freezer with the label as described along with a 32oz chump also stating ORIGIN SPAIN.
I was offered nothing as I told the truth that The dogs had got them
