OH is still in the running for the job he went for too. He is the favourite of the 3 they have seen but they have 2 people left to interview. If he got the job it would make the world of difference to our finances.

I need to refocus on my budget this month and try and eliminate fritter spend and create a larger emergency fund. A friend would like me to make various things for her. She is going to look for shapes and bottles she likes and then ask me to decorate them to order as presents during the year...

Well I've redone my budget and its still really tight for trying to pay for DS at uni. However the new 0% card it going to take some pressure off this month's payments .

    We will pay
    • £273 my car loan
    • £360 OH car loan
    • £30 OH CC
    • £47 OH CC
    • £9.54 HP
    • £51.50 NHS Dental loan

    Totalling £771

Due to the balance transfers will effectively get a payment holiday on the others for a month and I'm going to take it because:
    1. OH is getting new glasses £180 ish - which he can reclaim but there will be a delay of at least a month
    2. I need to choose a second pair of glasses as part of the deal and pay the other £30 of the deal (first pair was £80 so bargain)
    3. DD needs new glasses likely to need to put to that
    4. Neighbours have asked for £75 towards new fence between us as it is all rotten
    5. We are booked to go to an event next weekend and if DS is home from Uni - OH and I may stay away overnight - want to make the most of free childcare before he disappears abroad

    Still to do:
    • OH needs to reclaim pothole tyre costs £102
    • Need to reclaim tax paid on B@rclays payout £156
    • Once OH has ordered glasses need to reclaim £180

I have asked DS if he needs full money this month as I don't think he should as he is due home next weekend and will then be costing me money for food. We have agreed to look at his budget once he's home. He's hoping the local supermarket will give him lots of hours over Easter but there are no guarantees. It would help us out tremendously if they do. If they don't it's going to be hard unless OH does get this new job.

Lost 2.5 lbs at SW this week so doing better although had 2 meals out this weekend so may have wrecked that.

Had a nice treat today. Exchanged £10 of t3sco clubc@rd vouchers for pub vouchers - so had a sunday meal out for 3 for the cost of a couple of drinks. So chuffed. Made my day.

Woke up to loads of snow but a lot has melted now.

Got another hectic week - working Monday-Thursday, 3 mid-week events, and then finish the week with a conference and DS coming home. Looking forward to Good Friday as I am then off for a week and should be able to finally relax. We get a break then from our course too for 3 weeks which will be good although we'll miss the people.
