Spent a little on some items I forgot to buy £7.56. I was given a free month's delivery pass worth a fiver so still feel I've done well. Making a roast beef dinner for lunch for 3 with a view to using leftovers later in the week. Planning to cook gammon at the same time to use as ham in omelettes or with salad and jacket spud this week. Also want to batch cook a chicken dish - chicken, potatoes, tinned chopped tomatoes, sweetcorn, onion, mushrooms and sweet chilli sauce and cajun spice (that should also do at least 2 or preferably 3+ meals for 2 this week. Hoping OH will agree to peel some spuds.

DD is a fussy eater, so bought her a few alternatives. Just realised I forgot to buy one of her alternatives - so will need to get that Wednesday. I am looking at what I've bought again - it's great for the two of us - but I may not have bought enough suitable options for her - for her lunch while she is of school. Hopefully we will get in a routine and it will settle down. Have lots of tinned fish in the tinned cupboard so will try and persuade her to do pasta and tuna this week. Will let you know how it goes.

We may drive to my sister's later to drop birthday present off for nephew. Also promised to visit MIL. She may also feed us.

I have lots of fruit growing in the garden so if the birds haven't nicked them all will go and pick some redcurrants and possibly cherries. Later in the summer I am due to be awash with apples and potentially plums but many of the plums would require a ladder!

OH has just applied for DD's driving licence for her. Now have to wait for it to come through the post, add a few details and send it back. £34 gone but fab investment in her future.

Well MIL has cancelled on us as her friend is ill so decided to wait to go to my sisters until another weekend. They both live in the same direction.

Exciting news on the motorbike (spares and repair) front - got an offer for £350 which we are accepting. Cost us £12.89 to list. Guy comes next weekend to pick up and pay us cash. He's paying the initial £15 deposit to end the auction. We are going to going to use to pay the table off in full - which is £200.34. Leaving us approx £137 to put to CC5. Really happy!

Batch cooking now complete. Roast dinner ready for when DD comes back from seeing her friends at the park. Had some of the chicken for lunch - and have upto 5 portions ready for another day. Gammon also cooked.

Need to fit in a dog walk. Ideally, I need to list some things for sale myself perhaps on face book like an air fat fryer that is clogging up our cupboards and a juicer.

The motorbike buyer has now sent another £85 as a further deposit and has committed to come and pick it up at 8am next Saturday. This is fab - as the motorbike hasn't been working for 2 years despite various attempts by OH and his mates. OH bought a replacement motorbike last year!!! but has only just got around to listing this one. This will free up space for DD's scooter when she gets one.

We have also been offered a free - still in box - treadmill - which we are planning to put in the garage. We might be able to pick that up next weekend if we clear the space first. I suggested to DD that we look up the price and try and sell it but she really wants us to have our own. I think we will also need to check the weight limit on it as home treadmills unless very high end tend to have lower weight limits.

I don't think she has managed to sell any of the items she's listed yet - so I think I will suggest she reduces the price or bundles some stuff together to reduce postage costs. That leaves me as the only one that hasn't listed anything yet... Oops

I was going to repay a CC early today - but the £125 security deposit refund from my holiday isn't showing on my account yet so I will wait. It's due to be paid in full this week anyway and then I plan to cancel.

I am cancelling a policy this month and have used that money to over pay £35 on my mortgage. Still waiting to see if they pay out my mortgage PPI reclaim or not. I am on daily interest on my mortgage so anything I pay helps immediately. Because all my CC are on 0% deals it feels more satisfying to payoff the mortgage but if I want to hit the 0% expiry dates I need to not overdo that.

I'm due to go back to work today after a 2 week break. I like my job but it is always hard to go back. I tried to restart my work phone yesterday and it wouldn't accept my password which didn't feel like the best start. It is payday though which does give me a boost.

Thanks Milann - I have taken a peak at your diary (but not properly caught up). Hope you heal up soon. Moneywise things are going in the right direction - but the rest of life continues to throw up challenges. Felt very tired after work today but hopefully I will soon get back in the swing of things.

Looking forward to see my CC & old utility bill balances go down from tomorrow. I did get an email from V'n saying my mobile phone is now paid in full which is good - that was costing £22 a month.

"Life is a roller coaster, you just have to ride it" sums up my life currently....

Paid off old utility bill from when switched last Nov - got bill when came back from our holiday - typical - £173.60.

    Paid £172 off CC4

Paid £345.6/£2,454 target It's a high target this month due to back pay of around £200, expenses of £28, sale of OH's motorbike £350 when we get the money and planned refund of £200 below... Sadly, unless we get selling regularly or take on extra jobs can't achieve that every month - need to look at how to boost income.... I haven't had a regrade yet - I am still awaiting that so there is still hope there too

Had to dip into savings as too many bills have gone out before OH gets paid at the end of the week. I sent £200 in the last couple of months to HL thinking I would do a S&S isa but have now decided I want to pay off debt quicker instead. But I can't find my account number so am going to have to ring them up and ask for it to get the money back. I'd put it in this week's budget forecast as returned as I thought with having last week off I would be more organised but no... messed up there.

OP to mortgage 43.51 so now OP 78.51/78.51 - I looked up last night - and if I over paid that for the next 12 years - my mortgage would reduce by £13.3K with £1.2K of that being reduced interest effect. It's a good start.

Once DS finishes at uni next June we will have £415 pcm back to throw at debt (for approx 1 year) before DD is due to start. She is thinking she may do a degree apprenticeship instead and avoid student loans etc. Will see what she does in practice at the time...

My next big payment this month is to pay off our holiday - I think that is CC6 on the list. Will then close it. Not sure if that goes out end of this week or start of next.

As DR says, 'I owe, I owe, it's off to work I go.' :rotfl:

You are doing great. Another DR fan here. He is a bot off-centre but he talks a lot of sense on many things. I really need to start building my emergency fund again...
