Today I have written a little more of my book so that made me feel happy. We also had a shopping delivery. I made a beautiful leek and potato soup and half has gone already. Also made a gammon roast dinner. Plenty of gammon left to last for at least a couple of days. I need to book my car in for an mot and arrange to get my back seat belts fixed. DH needs to organise wheel alignment for his car.
Spent most of today filling in a diagnostic questionnaire for DD. Hope it turns out to be worth it. Pooch is still on a season. DH and I took her for about a mile walk around midnight but not doing that today. Not in the mood for tomorrow - but at least I have a gorgeous lunch to take with me.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

It's weird to think we used to overspend by £1K a month before we were having to pay DS an average of £400pcm.... It's not been easy - we got rid of a car costing £360 a month. We've now paid off a car we were paying £273 a month for. We've cancelled about £77pcm in insurance policies and put that towards the mortgage and debt repayment instead... DH got a £300pcm pay rise this year which helped a lot and we had our ppi payout. Very grateful that we now owe less than £27K on CC which is between a half and a third what we owed at our worst!!!.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

This is excellent progress, although it is the difference in your mindset that impresses me most :T You have come such a long way in a short period of time.If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them
