Try not to dip into the EF SavingH! My EF is only at €100 and because it's so low I'm tempted to pay it off a card but I know I need to leave it in there. We have absolutely no buffer if something happened to OHs jobTotal (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Thanks CMD - I should end the month with about £700 in total savings depending on how much xmas stuff I get early but next month I should be back above £1K. With both our jobs if we were made redundant we would be due decent payouts - it's only if we had some sort of misconduct or DH went off long term sick that things would get iffy. We could survive a while on one wage - we've done it before.
Lucielle you're right but it is unlikely. I think we even put some of my glass stuff in the loft. I feel like I have just about enough energy to do my day job - and a little bit of writing - and keep the family going and not much more.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Sending you positive vibes and energy. Sometimes, we just need to sit back and relax and recuperate. I think there are many with low energy levels at present and trying to get to a point where they are topped back up to being able to fire on all cylinders is not an overnight thing.

You've done a lot over the years. Even this year there's a lot been done to your home, your health was restrictive for months, you've been painting those delightful pieces, writing and a million and one other things all while working.
Start winding down a little, have some you time, recharge those inner batteries and then think about the next steps.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.5 -
I'm glad the writing is progressing well. Take time for yourself as well x"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2
