Thank you Stripey and MF. Work, painting and life! Struggling with exhaustion this week. This has been one of the few non rainy days.
I rang up and got a 35£ refund of n car insurance but spent £138 to adding DS until end of September on the cheaper car we brought last year for DH. Told him after that when it is wis up for renewalt he would need to pay his share.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I hope you get some rest and sunshine this weekend"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2

Hope you have a restful weekend. Like you I've worked throughout lockdown and I think the unusual situation takes it toll. I'm grateful to have a job and I'm sure you are too but life/work blend is important (says me who has failed miserably to achieve balance this week).
take care and I hope the weather is allowing you to get out into your lovely garden.4 -
Thanks Jwil, MF and Blackcats
Yes WFH is weird when it is for so long! Will also be weird to be back in the office when that time comes.
Today - I couldn't easily reach the remaining fence panels - so I decided to pressure wash the paths and patio area instead. I still have some more to do but it was very satisfying. I promise I also rested for quite a while too. I will need a hot shower before bed to sooth any kinks in my back. DH plans to lay the flags we bought as a base for his new shed this week as he is off - but I'm due to still be working. Once he's sorted the shed - I will finish pressure washing the patio - and paint one of the fence panels that is currently blocked. I may need to harvest some of my veg before I can get to the other panels - so I may move onto doing the kitchen cupboard doors first.
DS drove with DH to see a friend this afternoon and DH left him there overnight and I'm due to get DS tomorrow. DD is out with friends and I'm still waiting for her to return - but I have had a more peaceful day - especially as DH was also out for a few hours this morning to see his friends. DD has been a real help this week decluttering and doing some cleaning to earn money for clothes, junk food etc. I get paid Wednesday... counting down the days...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hi guys
Well very frustrated with DH as a payment went out for £148 the day before payday - for him - and he hadn't warned me!!! I had to raid the EF. I am unlikely to hit my debt repayment goal for July/August as I will need to top the EF up by £250 and he has a load of motoring bills. Motorbike insurance, tax and a car oil change. I also wonder if I am pushing myself too hard - as I was basically planning to pay more than his wage off debt this month which does make everything super tight even with DS's board. It's also DH's special birthday coming up - and I still need to get something for him. It looks like a 5 week month too.
I am still battling exhaustion. I am going to try and eat healthier today and see if that helps.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

We walked the dog last night and had a socially distanced chat with an old friend which was nice. Our last CC payment of this pay month went out today for £139. Roll on payday tomorrow so I can do the money shuffle.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
