Great idea re the fleece. I used to get this from my A n C veg box and used it to wrap china in to pack away.

Garden sounds glorious and it will be a positive thing to look back on when lockdown is over. Well done on the weight loss too. I'm still working but I agree that it's hard to imagine going back to extensive travelling and working in an office.2

Thanks DIA, MF and Blackcats - I am loving our garden - we have great structure - think Secret Garden - but had let it get rather overgrown. DH has got really stuck in digging out a tough marsh grass type weed - and the loan of next door's bin has really helped with getting rid of it too. Still more to do. I am planning to move a variegated evergreen hebe from a pot at the front to a newly cleared area in semi-shade towards the back of the garden for a bit more visual pop. It will have purple flowers in the next month or two. I can then use that pot to grow veg when my extra seeds and plug tomato and lavender plants and early potatoes arrive. I have a white Cistus that's not been happy in a pot which I might also give a last chance of life to in the back garden. That also frees up that pot - although it has some pretty daffodil and bluebells flowering currently.
Yesterday, I bought some garden stuff for my dad - it should arrive just before his birthday and hopefully break up the monotony for them. They are shielding as much as they can for 12 weeks regardless. They live too far away from us under the current rules for us to go around unless things got desperate. Today, I took a few bits round to cheer a friend up who is struggling with lockdown. They are self-employed so totally reliant on what the government pays in June.
Just been for another shorter walk with DH and pooch. Every little helps. Did a bit of tidying in the garden today - ramming the garden bins full before putting them out and putting as much cardboard in our other bins as would fit! I've also caught up on this years Gardeners World series. I think I may have killed my cucumber plant already - I didn't realise I shouldn't have put it out yet. I have brought it and one tomato plant in - and wrapped fleece round the other that I had already potted up as it has suddenly gone colder.
I feel it has been a really productive fortnight and the weather has been kind but don't feel ready for work tomorrow. DH and I are back WFH tomorrow - will be weird. Grateful to still have jobs though. DS really wound DD up earlier and it took me ages to calm her down. TBF it was only the second time since lockdown so it could be worse. She's not looking forward to trying to study from home again. She isn't quite keeping up - I still think she is putting too much pressure on herself. Mr A had missed milk off our order - so DS ended up going to the corner shop anyway - but it's been set up much better now and he nipped in and out just before closing so not much exposure. DS has just gone for a walk alone - He's struggling with confinement too. It's a weird world - at least gardening offers us structure, visual interest, wildlife, food and hope. All I need now is chickens LOL.

Hi SavingH,
Thanks for dropping by my diary. All is grand with me. Like everyone else trying to come to terms with this crazy world we are living in at the moment. So lots has happened in your world! Hope the foot is on the mend and well done on the 5lb loss. That's an amazing amount! And your diagnosis! Glad you got it before everything shut down. How are you feeling about it now?

Glad you and yours are okay CMD. I am relieved to have confirmation of what I already knew. I think I had my moment of realisation and grieving for what I'd lost out on and celebrating my accomplishments all back in April 2018 when I first realised that ASD applied to me too. I think at some point I want to write a book about it all - which is partly why I wanted a formal diagnosis as that gives credibility. With C19 however everything is really over-shadowed. I think the ASD diagnosis gives me almost permission to be real and to say 'do you know what - I'd rather not' or ' I will if...' and get my own needs met. I am also learning to be more self-accepting and possibly others accepting - as I realise just as I feel what I feel - they can't always help their responses either.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I am grateful we can still get deliveries. DH's new metal shed arrived today. I think he wants to put the bikes into it if he can and clear what he can from the shed so he can start doing woodworking projects. DD is keen to do that too and it fits with her studies. We have lots of things that will need to go the tip and charity shops when they re-open.
Well today I need to make myself take the scary step of logging back on to work. No idea what I will find as I haven''t sneaked a peek. The dread is likely to be worse than the reality however so I just need to push through. It's another bright shiney day here. DH and I are up - the kids are still in bed. I am still only working part days.... so that's a positive as is that my pain levels are now controlled. Have a good day all.
