    Thanks Mark, Jwil and HSL
Well last night I made a beautiful banana loaf. My first cake in years. The piece I've had so far was awesome. I was gobsmacked though at how calorific it was. I used a beebs recipe and it came to around 3200 calories for the whole thing. Think I'd best go slow and steady. DS has had some too and loved it. I think next time I'd be tempted to use less walnuts to lower the calories. Today I am planning a brined chicken meal with roasties and veg. We've ended up with loads of potatoes as we suddenly cut back. I am thinking I may also make a soup. DS is making chicken fajitas and dividing it into portions.

    Great weight loss SHs.
I know what you mean about cake. I recently looked up the calories of a tiny square of cake I used to get. It had so many calories I never ate it again. Actually 3,200 for the whole thing seems ok. I've always found taking 1/3 of the sugar out doesn't affect the taste.

Thanks DIA back on the diet tomorrow. Off the wagon today... cake... drools.
I've managed to book a recurring delivery slot with Mr A from the end of April until Sept!! I am so thrilled I could dance. DH doesn't get why.

DH was paid tomorrow but showing in bank now. He got around £64 more than normal - I think this reflects the NI change and him not buying food at work.

I am chuffed with Mr A - delivery only starts at the end of the month. We got a click and collect order today - about 20% missing off the list but expected that so wasn't too worried. I tried to order eggs, TP and pasta but it didn't arrive. We have enough though - I was just testing whether I could get it. We got about 10 substitutions - they were good enough.

I tried to cancel Mr Ms food boxes but failed - so only order if you are fully committed as no easy way to cancel. Weirdly though the costs are no longer showing on my pending items so not sure what is going on. The family meat box £45 was really good value - 2 x sirloin steak, very small beef joint (great a was missing item on Mr A), small gammon joint (ditto), 4 loin chops, 4 beefburgers, 12% fat minced beef, meatballs, 1 kg chicken, sausages and a beef gravy and a peppercorn sauce.  The veg box £35 had 4 veg burgers, 2 x veg mince packs, 2 x veg heck sausage packs, baby potatoes, a cucumber, a bag of onions, a bag of carrots, microwave rice, spaghetti (great we'd run out), 2 tins of soup, cottage cheese, salted butter (result), a loaf of bread (result), 1 tin of H baked beans, a tomato and basil sauce, another sauce can't remember what, 4 rolls of TP (result), 1 roll of KP (result), 2 pints of milk (really for a week!!!). If we were actually veggie - the meat substitutes probably represent good value but I was hoping for more you know veg.... :) They don't guarantee the contents so it could change again next time. All the above also came with ice packs and fleece in see through plastic - so thinking of trying the fleece and plastic on my veg beds to protect them and warm them up!

It's a nice bright day again here so hoping to do a bit of gardening later. My pain levels are improving. Last night DH and I walked the dog in the dark about 0.8 mile. I was limping a bit on the way home but generally my leg mechanics are improving and I can walk faster and more fluidly. Have a good day all! Currently roasting the gammon and beef for a roast dinner later.
