Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
I woke early but stayed in bed and my pain level is fine this morning. Another beautiful day here. So my plan is to start work in a moment - do a couple of hours - have a proper break at lunchtime and do a bit in the garden so I keep moving around and then come back and finish off my work. Despite eating more yesterday - I maintained my weight loss so have lost 7lb in 2 weeks. It would have been more if the banana loaf hadn't eroded my weightloss by 1.4lb.  I am still tempted to make it again though. W have some bananas currently maturing. DS has stevia which would lower cals and I could put in less walnuts - so may give that a go.
Wow - 7lbs in 2 weeks is amazing! I need to lose about a stone but have no motivation during this crazy phase. I admire people that are dieting. I just seem to be eating white bread and chocolate. My dinners are healthy to be fair.

  • You are making great strides with the garden, sounds amazing. Well done on the weight loss. Having consumed quite a bit of Easter chocolate,I’ve been trying to make more of a conscious effort to reduce the amount of sugar consumed this week.

Thanks Lucielle and HSL. All the work DH and I have been doing has really opened up the garden and made it feel a lot bigger. The bean and potatoes have germinated so far. Now need to earth up the potatoes and potentially transfer them  to a different container as I didn't think that bit through! DH has just asked me to go for a walk in the sunshine with him and pooch so will write more later

Well done on the weightloss!  All that work you are doing on the garden must be really paying off, I bet it looks amazing.

Brilliant weight loss.  Imagine carrying a 7lb sack of potatoes with you all the time ....that's a significant amount to not carry any more.

You are doing so well with your diet and weight loss, all the movement / pottering around is good exercise too.

Your garden is going to be wonderful and it's great hearing your plans for it. Think of it as the trial run for your longer plans.

    Thanks Jwil, Blackcats and MF
Yes the garden seems a lot bigger as the large tree and small tree we cut down were planted by the previous occupants probably 15-20 years ago. They planted them halfway across the garden (which isn't as deep as it sounds) and they were just causing too much shade and blocking the view. Once lockdown is over / autumn - I would ideally like to get some other trees in our garden cut back -as they are too tall and again causing a lot of shade which they didn't when they were smaller. Need to weigh that up against lost privacy though.

DH is now assembling the metal shed he wants to put towards the back fence to put the bikes in. Our shed is so over-full it's hard to get anything. (Common theme maybe?). We even have plastic crates of books in there! We are hoping if we can reduce the stuff in there DS, DH and DD can have a go at doing woodworking with our non-existent wood - sure someone will deliver.

It's another gorgeous day outside. I hope to plant some beetroot seeds next. DH like beetroots - and you can eat the leaves which is the bit that appeals to me. I think I have been guilty of sowing too many seeds of one type at once - but hey that's how you learn right? My outdoor seeds haven't germinated yet - only the indoor ones and I'm impatient. They are still within normal range... Right - off to enjoy the great outdoors aka the garden! Have a good day all.
