Best:- Put a dab of toothpaste on a spot. It will dry it out and fall off in the next few days. Always works for me.
- Use coarse salt as a bodyscrub with water. Works just as well as the expensive scrubs just don't get it in your eyes - ouch!
 - Bio-oil. More like snake oil. Very expensive and didn't work for me

            Worse
 - Using hair-removal cream on my upper lip, i was left with a burned lip and a red face trying to explain to people why i had blisters on my upper lip.
- Putting a brown hair dye over peroxide blonde, i ended up with green hair and it cost me £££ to get it fixed!
- being told by a friend to "shave off" my fringe, it looked ok for a day or so, untill the hair started growing and i was left with spikes growing out my head

 - After washing hair always finish with a blast of ice cold water.
- Norwegian formula night cream with active soy.
- Cooking oil to remove waterproof mascara.
"Do not look back and grieve over the past, for it is gone, and do not be troubled about the future, for it has yet to come. Live in the present, and make it so beautiful that it will be worth remembering"0

Best: Use Olive Oil (normal cooking variety) on dry hair once or twice a week because my hair was falling in clumps - worked brilliantly and I hardly lose any hair these days
WORST: In my final year at uni, I spotted ONE hair on my chin, plucked it and it came back. One of my housemates said "Use Immac on your chin, sides of face and under the chin, your skin will be baby soft...I do it all the time" Took the advice and there followed 6 years of using hair removal cream EVERY OTHER DAY as hair came back and felt awful. Some days it made my skin horribly raw and I used to have to lie and say "Oh it was a reaction to the polo neck jumper I wore last night" or something like that.
One day I stopped using the cream and plucked and waxed the hair, and now touch wood it's better!0

Could you explain how you use the oil please.:beer:0

Worst:- Use a clothes iron on your hair to get it straight. This was something my mum did in the 70's and told my sister about it. She then did it a lot when she was younger and her hair turned straw-like and very brittle.

I used to do this before GHD's. They only had babylis in those days & they were crap.
I don't think a house iron is any different to GHDs, GHds are just easier to use.0

            Best
Body Brushing-you can get a cactus brush from boots for about £8. You can use it dry to boost circulation (brush towards your heart) but I've found using it wet with showergel in circular motions have really improved cellulite and skin tone on my thighs.
Dermalogica Medicated Clearing Gelpricey but takes the redness out of spots and seems to make them go away faster!
 Worst
Tigi fashionista spritz and shine-didnt add shine to my hair and was rubbish at protecting it from heat-very disapointing to say how pricey it is.
Home waxing-fiddly to do properly and for some reason it hurts far more than when a professional does it!If it hurts no-one, let it be :beer:0

Best.... Make a face mask using crushed up asprin (a whole pack) and a little bit of water. mix to a paste, smooth over face and leave on for 15 minutes. sounds weird, but asprin contains salysilic (sp) acid, which is found in many shop bought spot treatments. It also stays a little bit 'gritty' which makes a great exfoliant. You lied to me Edward. There IS a Swansea. And other places.....
 *I have done reading too*
*I have done geography as well*0

Best - Nivea original creme on my face - I have baby soft skin.
Worst - Anything by Pantene. Makes my hair fee like its covered in like a film and all yuckyBaby Ice arrived 17th April 2011. Tired.com! :j0

I only use three aspirin, make sure they are not coated ones crush them in with a spoon/rollingpin/bottom of a bottle and mix with a little water i like to leave it around 10 mins to thicken up and apply it is excellent especially for people with skin problems or normal skin as the salicilic acid can exfoliate inside the pore.
If you have very dry skin I would give it a miss.
 Best skin toner.
Make yourself a cup of green tea when the tea bag cools down use it as a skin toner simply pat all over the face, has a slight green tinge so calms down any redness as well as supplying your skin with load a of antioxidants, phenols, tannins etc.
Best anti-age treatment out there by far
Rose hip oil great for scars, wrinkles, excema and as an antiageing serum ,antioxidant packed powerhouse, most effective thing I ( friends and family) have ever used an I have spent a fortune and tried them all.;)

Floyd, I'm really interested in hearing how often you apply sunscreen on a normal day in the winter. I'm all for using sunscreen as I believe it does a lot of good and I have sunscreen in my face moisturiser that I use in the morning - but surely this sun protection doesn't last all day [normal sunscreens say re-apply every x hours]? Or am I meant to reapply at lunch time? Obviously if I'm in the sun a lot I would apply sun lotion, but for just being out and about sometimes during the day what do you do?
Best beauty tip I've had: I have very thick curly hair and when I wash and condition my hair I use a bit of honey with my conditioner [wash out as normal]. I do this regularly and it has definitely helped the condition of my hair and made it a lot easier to tame/style.
Hi, not sure if you are male ir female, so please forgive me if this causes any offence!
I have very pale skin and sadly have been known to burn in my lunch hour at work while walking to the shops!
Personally i make sure that all my make up is SPF15 + all year round (Clinique city block does a SPF 30 that i upgrade to in the summer!)
I don't tend to expose much skin or be outside during the working day (I am a beancounter and we don't get out much!) but i do use a body lotion with SPF 15 on a daily basis.
I'm sure it goes without saying that in the summer i use more!! I use P20 which is great for lasting all day (although you have to wait a while for it to dry first!)
 Hope this helps
