Chilly here too, I’m enjoying DM’s central heating and turned it up a few minutes ago.

The visit to the doc was fine. The doc recommended a key safe for DM so I’ve ordered one online. Hopefully the helpful neighbour will fit it for her. Doc also ordered an ECG for DM which was done immediately, all appears OK so we’re no further forward.

Window repair man arrived on time and took three seconds to slot the sticky-out drip rail back into place. :o. He then spent a few minutes tightening nuts and squirting DW40 into moving parts of the window. No charge so I slipped him a fiver.

DM taken to her bed for a while. It’s good for her as she can switch the electric blanket on to get warmer.

I’m just lazing around, I’ve got work to do which is pressing but I really CBA.

The heavy crane is still stuck. The road is being closed from 8pm tonight for four hours to get it going, bet someone is embarrassed.

Good to read everyone’s comings and goings and purchases. Apart from the key safe I’ve bought myself a trail camera to catch what’s happening in my garden overnight.

    That’s all for today folks.

    Congratulations Elona

JackieO pleased the funeral went well yesterday

Judi hugs, so sorry things are difficult
If you walk at night no-one will see you cry.
  • Good afternoon everyone,

    Congrats Elona:T
Glad it went well yesterday JackieO.

Everyone has been so busy today:) My contribution to the busy-ness:

Dropped off 3 bags at cs (Natalie thinks I am a witch - she needed Notebooks for her admin. & I took her several Notebooks & loads of Envelopes) then a long (for me:eek:) walk to Mudchute Farm to drop off bag of dressings. Advised that the lambing commences in March! So dressings might be useful for cleaning up. DH made me a coffee when I got back & gave me a huge hug
Wm on, washing up done, kitchen floor hoovered, vacuum emptied, DH screwing down the floorboards in the spare room - very noisy! Just finishing my coffee then to kitchen to bake choc chip biccies & focaccia for tomorrow’s visit to uncle’s house for lunch.

    Not idea re dinner yet:undecided

    Bye for now:wave:

  • Congrats! Finally some good news for someone on here. :)

    I'm home ill still but
Did 1 load of washing and it's on drying spin now.

I put the 3 bags of laundry away and managed to pair up some of the millions of odd socks I have.

    I tided the bedroom floor

Now I'm chilling with my OH.

We may have chicken and gravy pie for tea. It's freezing in our house and I'll wrapped up.

  • Oh JUDI not more bad news for you. Let's hope it's all a storm in a teacup with your youngest and he'll be back at work next week. JACKIE dear Frank's funeral sounded lovely - if you can say that about a funeral.

After a busy busy morning cleaning up I collapsed on the sofa after lunch and there I stayed - all afternoon! Phone call from DD ranting about the traumas she'd had getting permission for middle DGD to be absent from school at odd times around Easter. For rehearsals for the English Youth Ballet performance of Coppelia she had been accepted for up in Darlington. She had to plead her case with the head teacher before it was sanctioned! It was only a few hours as most of the rehearsals have been organised for weekends and Easter hols. I suppose I can understand their attitude as she has only just finished having time off for the panto season.

If I can keep awake I plan on watching the new prog on BBC tonight "Requiem" as it sounds quite promising.

Have a nice evening folks if you can xx

Eldest Son has no hot water. I need a holiday from this lot. *sigh*.

  • Hi again,

Biccies & focaccia baked & cooling.

Dinner was an old staple - cheesey, corned beef baked beans on toast - last tins of baked beans used with bread from freezer (only a few slices left) - simple & just what the doctor ordered!

    Bye

Oh Judi, it has been a never ending week for you with the family :(. I hope that your son is back at work soon. I think you need a break somewhere warm, where you can relax and can't be contacted, so that you can recover :).

You deserved your afternoon on the sofa!

I'm recording "Requiem", I agree it looks promising, I certainly hope it is because I find it difficult to find anything I want to watch!
