  • At £2.50, I think you did really well :). I probably look at diet in a different way than most people, having worked as a medical research scientist for my entire working life. My concern being is that many people do not eat enough protein - and it is absolutely essential. Enough said :)
  • Food order arrived and as expected l have chicken coming out my ears lol. I do believe l should be able to keep to £3.00 a day and eat pretty well and varied. My problem is planning l hate to know what l'm having on what day and lve no chance planning for a week but l will try.

  • At least with my cooking skills it's got half a chance of being edibles for l spend a bit more.
Having a re think on the property empire. I will still buy another property but not yet maybe towards the summer. Hv looked at things objectively and it would only take my current tenant to leave or not pay and then the new property not pay its way then l would be eating very quickly into my emergency funds and savings. I know l can do it but l will save a bit longer just in case worst case happens.i don't want to be scrimping for holidays and nights out ( and shoes lol)

  • As expected the last few days have been very expensive with lots of out goings. March should be a better month put it this way it's got to be. If l want to realise my dream l need to accept that some week or months will be higher spends. It's the all over savings l need to reflect on as long its an overall plus

  • Stay positive and focused - then 'your dream' will become a reality :)
  • I think sometimes is hard when your on your own when your used to running your ideas through with someone else. Even though l asked my DH what he thought l always did what l wanted in the end anyway lol. But l do miss someone else!!!8217;s views.

  • Yes, it must be difficult. One things for sure - when posting for ideas/opinions on a matter on this forum - you will never be short of answers lol.

I'm therefore going to consult an IFA and let him/her sort matters :).

    Sounds a good idea :)
  • You see l'm too tight to pay for a IFA so it's all down to me. Might look into one and see the benefits.

  • Years ago, and quite by chance, I bought a buy-to-let. This proved to be a good way forward for me at the time and over the years I bought further properties. When I came to sell them I had a very large sum of money and I sought advice from an IFA. His advice was invaluable. After a few years I then felt able to 'take charge' of my investments and said goodbye to him. I've now reached the stage where I'm actually going to seek advice/management of funds back with an IFA. To sum up :) - I found the money spent was worth every penny.
