I have been to busy out enjoying life instead of being stuck on forums trying to be objectionable!

Some people don't have to try.

After having a an amusing time reading the current low standard of the post on here these days it will probably be a while before I log back in again, but you all carry on without me.

Most on here are still missing the point and are only here to be offensive and unconstructive, well you carry on I have better things to do with my life!

I think all of the above comments have missed the point entirely.

This is just another example of Tesco implementing changes to existing arrangments and contracts without telling their customers FIRST!
Out of idle curiosity I looked at a Tesco credit card statement from a year ago and it clearly says the same then as it does now under accepted methods of payment, namely:
    4. Over the Phone • Call 0345 300 4278* • Have your card available when calling • Pay via our automated payment service.
Do you believe that you had it enshrined in your credit agreement (or other Ts & Cs) that you had the right to pay by phone without using the automated service?

There's no way I would give my card details over the phone to a human, can't assume they would keep it safe. Not intentionally, but they might write it down first and not destroy the note, could be overheard. Doing it on-line means I can immediately print the transaction confirmation that appears on screen.
