Has Hermes got rid of the parcel sizes?

This is off topic, but since you're curious...Hermes is the only courier which will collect from my postcode. Others will deliver to it, but that's not much use if I am trying to send things.
Then you have no option to pay whatever they charge.
If you run a business,do you seen this as a comfortable position?
however if Im honest, unless you are deep rural I find your situation fairly unique.0 -

How have our prices changed?
We've made some changes, from 1 February 2018, to make finding out the price you'll pay easier.
You now won't need to measure your parcel, as long as it meets our maximum dimensions, explained here.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. These are good price changes aren't they? A large parcel under a kg is now £2.79 and 5-10kg used to be about £8 I think? The only increase is a small parcel between 1-2kg that I can see?0

This works for me. Most of my parcels over 1kg I had to pay for large parcel anyway. I wonder if this is because they have given up trying to integrate the two parcel sizes into importing parcels.
I think they should have given more notice or put it off for a few weeks.
Parcel2go appear to still be charging the old cheaper prices for My Hermes 2kg small parcel.0 -
They are not offering anything new by scrapping the under 1kg size limit. The £2.79 price for under 1kg has been available all along if you imported the order direct from Ebay to Myhermes, they never updated their booking system, there has been no small parcel size limit on an under 1kg parcel. If you have been paying the medium rate for under 1kg then unfortunately you've been booking your parcels by the wrong method.
I honestly think Hermes will have to rethink this as they are going to see a huge increase in claims for damages. To come under the 1kg weight there's going to be a huge temptation to skimp on packaging and protection. I pack my parcels well but it does add to the weight and if it means the difference between paying £2.79 and £3.99 its going to be difficult not to chance going with the flimsier box or less inner protection.
I personally will now use RM more often, for most of my items 2nd recorded will now be same price as Hermes and it will give buyer the chance to pick up their item from PO instead of it being left in a garden, compensation is also higher.0 -
I only usually use Hermes for items over 2kg but now if I have something under 1kg but bigger than Royal Mail Small Parcel I will use Hermes.0

After 3 weeks worth of nonsensical conversations with their customer services about missing parcels, I think this will push me back to RoyalMail

Does this price change apply to ebay shutl prices too?I Hate Jobsworths!!!0

I send 1 kg parcels hermes booked via parcel2go, parcel shop service. One thing I have wondered for a while, is on the 1 kg option @ £2.39 when you click on the info tab it's states maximum weight for that service is 2kg. Is that a mistake my p2g? Because if I select 2kg as the parcel weight it generates the 2.70 price. Also, what happens to a (hermes) parcel if you (mistakenly or otherwise) undeclare the size. Do they autimatically charge you the excess, does it still get delivered, or returned to sender? I wonder if they can link the parcel to an account even if not booked direct?0
