So, I take it the sizes stay the same???
I looked on the website and there is no mention of sizes.

I am fed up of the small parcel sizes only allowing 6 inch tall.
A lot of my boxes are cube shape but still small size so I have to pay the next size up.

Hi, I've been trying to figure out exactly what it means too. Have they reverted back to just the weight? and the size of the parcel now makes no difference to cost? Most of the things I sell on Ebay fall into the 1kg+ small parcel range which means I'm looking at a big increase to £3.99. It's crazy a parcel 6cm x 6cm x 6cm weighing just over 1kg will cost £3.99, a parcel 20cm x 20cm x 20cm weighing just under 1kg will cost £2.79, where's the logic in that? To me it makes more sense to charge by size.
  • And then there are people that have to make investment decisions or tie up stock in certain types of packaging based on courier's fee structure.

so you can still use your stock. nothing has changed. Theres either a cheaper volumetric option or you use a weight based option.
Are you really telling me you are at the behest of Hermes exclusively?

In my area of the country, that's the only realistic option - so for some of us, something certainly has changed! The nearest post office is a long walk away and invariably has huge queues, so Hermes has always been a lifeline for those without transport of their own.

So you are in an area of the country not served by any of the other couriers?

On Hermes page there is info at the top of page and it seems that sizes now go by volume with a maximum size volume.

Sorry if not explained well but I think it will make smaller cube boxes cheaper (or at least not go up to the next price level)
