Thank goodness for the right medication being available when needed. I hope you feel better soon.
I like the idea of no-dig gardening, partly because anything I dig seems to attract cats! I've also seen some quite convincing footage on FB where native plants/weeds are allowed to grow alongside non-native vegetables, and the insects target the native weeds and almost completely leave the veg alone. That suits me as I rather like some of my weeds!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

The PMR route is very windy ,I remember it well.
but it does go eventually
are you taking stomach and bone protectors?2 -
I’ll have to look into no dig gardening as I’m rubbish at digging. I stand on the spade and nothing happens. We have a large area of the garden that would be perfect for growing veg but the ground is rock hard.Hope you feel better soon.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

The no dig garden looks good to me but I'm sure cats would still be attracted to be honest. They just love a big pile of compost 🙄Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1201 -

Up early today to get some washing done before going out. It was a lovely morning so I pegged the washing out before I left but unfortunately it rained the whole time I was out so it all got soaked 😡
Mum and Dad were ok. Dad is trying some medication for his dementia and it seems to be helping. Mum says he doesn't get up so much in the night now so she gets better sleep.
Im working tomorrow but off on Friday and I have to go to the post office to post my old passport. I applied for a new one last week but had to wait for a colleague to verify my identity, she did that today so I can send my documents off now. It will be nice to finally have a form of ID that people actually accept.
I have an old rotten shed at the top of my garden that has been in the process of collapsing all of last year but it was dangerous so I couldn't move any of it. I went up and checked it today and it's all come down now so I can get up there and get it moved without any of it falling on me. I also think I have a badgers set behind my garden. There is woodland and a bank behind my back garden and there are two very large holes and what look like tunnels gong into the bank. That would explain the two badgers I found in my chicken coop. I would love to put wildlife camera up there to keep an eye on it. My garden does get a lot of visits from wild life so I'm not too surprised I just hope it stays hidden. The path it's on only leads to mine and my neighbours houses but I'm not sure how happy the neighbours would be about it if they realise what it is

How lovely if you have badgers for neighbours, @Onebrokelady. Maybe there is a local badger-watch group which uses wildlife cameras for badger surveillance? Or maybe you could borrow some night time binoculars? Although I think they are expensive, & probably not owned by many people.
Re steroids, my Mum was on them for nearly 20 years to control the symptoms of her myasthenia gravis. Every so often, the dose would be reduced to see if she could manage & I suppose to decrease her exposure to them. She always ended up having to get them increased back to the previous dose though, as her floppy muscles & breathing issues would return to a level where they affected her everyday life. It may be that your condition is similar, in that Drs will want to try & reduce the steroids but that you have found a level that is right for controlling your pain levels. I think everyone would rather not take them, but quality of life issues are important.
Look out for those badgers.....& if they're regular neighbours, they'll need names!

How exciting to have badgers. I saw my 1 st one last year scavenging through a bin in Cornwall. We wondered what the snuffling was and stood watching it for ages…..it wasn’t a bit bothered. Dh tried to video it but it was too dark to show it properly.
Hope the higher dose of meds help you.

I can highly recommend following Mr Lumpy and Friends on FB for badger and wildlife watching. She sets up a camera that shows badgers and other wildlife coming into her garden and eating the food she leaves out. The badgers also eat out of her hands. We’ve had them in our garden, I haven’t seen them but they left the telltale 💩 signs. Sadly I’ve also seen dead ones on the B road close by 😢I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1
