It really has been a close, muggy day OBL, I agree. Just the same here, even though we are at opposite ends of the country. I have been very lucky since the menopause, as I had all my horrible symptoms & feeling like absolute cr*p during the perimenopause instead, but today, 6+ years after the event, I stood in my kitchen chopping apples & was sooooo hot, I thought it might be delayed hot flushes starting! Then when I walked down the garden to open the greenhouse, I realised it was very muggy outside & therefore not me at all! Somehow, muggy weather seems to be even more tiring than just heat, I don't know why.
A nice shower here too now, so no need to water the veg tonight for a welcome change.

It wasn't pleasant was it 🥵Today is lovely as the sun is out but it's windy so very pleasant 😊

I treated myself to a lie in this morning before going back to work tomorrow. I also changed my plans because I was supposed to be going out to buy some bits I want to put back for winter prep but its a perfect washing drying day here today so I stayed at home and got the bedding washed instead 😊 I can now also claim a NSD .

Tomorrow I'm working 9-5 so that will be my day taken up by the time I leave home at 6.30am to get there and then don't get home until 6pm if the  bus turns up my day is done. I just have enough energy to walk B and that's it.

I was reading about latest strikes today and it seems to be gaining traction now. I know that Unison is balloting it's NHS staff members in October about going out on strike so that it will be interesting to see how many say yes and whether the RCN follow suit. I do know that if the strike is voted for I will be joining when I can. I'm sick of the situation at the moment and am itching to do something other than moan about it.
We were expecting our backdated pay rise this month but it didn't arrive and we are now getting it next month, mines going in my energy fund so it doesn't matter when I get it so long as it turns up at some point, it won't be loads because our pay rise is pathetic but it's better than nothing.

After tomorrow I just have to work Sunday and then I'm off for two weeks so I will find a day then to go and get my supplies. DD2 is also off for my first week so we will do some days out somewhere local I expect. I am meeting DD1 and the DGC on Monday, I was supposed to be babysitting but we had forgotten it was a bank holiday so I don't need to now. We are going to meet up and do our monthly library visit and go for lunch then instead of Saturday. I have suggested to DD2 that we go to out local farm shop on Saturday for a mooch around as I'm trying to get hold of some chilli jam and no one seems to sell it in town,I've tried all the supermarkets and the delis but no success. The place I want to visit on Saturday has a lovely nature walk around it too so we can do that while we are there 😊

How.......how can they justify an 80% rise and how the hell are people going to pay for it. I am not going to be able to use my heating this winter unless I let myself get into more debt, it's just not possible 😡

In other news I was phoned by my GP today to say my bloods show some inflammation markers are raised so they are referring me to the Rheumatologist clinic to check for Rheumatoid Arthritis. He said they would contact me quite quickly and it would be in weeks not months so hopefully I will get some answers soon 🤞 I actually had a lot of trouble walking this morning but still made it into work. We had a nice day which wasn't too busy 🎉🎉I now just have to work Sunday and I am off for two weeks,I didn't think I was going to get through today but managed it with the help of lots of painkillers. Im off to bed now and will hopefully sleep.

Price rise - I have no idea how it's going to work out but hopefully the government will realise that putting millions of people into fuel poverty will cost dear in the longer term as the economy will suffer and so will health. Whether they will intervene enough remains to be seen.

Inflammatory markers - that's a tough one, but you are already coping with so much that a proper diagnosis would be a step forward.

Yay to two weeks off! I hope you get a reasonable night's sleep.

Boris said in the news more help it on the way due to the rise.

I cancelled my fixed rate direct debit and now they will bill me each month.

Hopefully you’ll get some answers from a specialist rather rather just popping pain killers and hope it helps.

A break away from work is just what you need.

Enjoy your 2 weeks off. Hope you manage to get out for some trips. You have some lovely places nearby.
I also hope they have some answers for you at the rheumatologist 🤞

I think we are heading towards a  massive recession unless the government gets their act together. I have no faith in them though and don't expect them to do anything at all.

Normally when I have bloods they are normal, this is the first time there's been something to report on apart from ongoing anaemia which is a constant problem

I will believe it when I see it, it also needs to be proper help and not the current plan of giving people a £400 discount on their bill which is just basically handing more money to the energy companies and then charging us for it later.

I am hoping I will get some answers but have been down this road before 18 years ago when I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia which resulted in all the meds and basically being told that this would be it for the rest of my life.

I definitely need a break from work and I'm really looking forward to it,just tomorrow to get through and I am freeeeeeee 😀

Thanks Milann. We are planning to take the train to Okehampton and try another one of the walks there but we won't be doing much due to no spare money.

Im hoping they have answers for me and maybe even some sort of treatment too 🤞🤞

We have had a lovely day today. We got the train to Topsham and went to a local farm shop there to try to find some chilli jam and we were successful 🎉🎉it was £3.99 a jar but I have lots of recipes to use it in and of course it goes really well in a cheese sandwich so it will be well used and it's local produce so I'm supporting a local business.

We had a wander round the shop which is split into outdoor wear and camping stuff, then there's home wear, gardening things and then the food shop. There were so many lovely food items and the fruit and veg looked such good quality, not like the stuff you see in the supermarkets. I didn't buy anything else but DD2 bought some alcohol free beer to try ( it is very tasty 😊) she likes the taste of alcohol but not the after effects so has decided to drink alcohol free when she can, she still hasn't found a good wine substitute though.
