Day off today and so far I haven't achieved much at all,I had lots of plans but don't feel too good so I'm relaxing instead. I have got one load of washing on the line and another in the machine because it's sunny with a nice breeze today so it should all dry 🤞
I went to my friends retirement tea party on Monday and it was lovely but a bit emotional, we have worked together for 30 years in November ,we both started on the same day back on November the 2nd 1992 🙀 we have had lots of fun and sad times along the way and I will miss her at work. We are good friends outside of work though so will still see each other. It's made me wish I could retire too though as it's just not the same there anymore, I think most of the staff that were there when I started have gone now ,we have lots of new young staff and they aren't the same as the people who were there before they have a totally different way of looking at things and a couple of them are downright rude. I can't afford to go yet though so will keep plodding on 😀

It's nice that you will still see your friend, @OBL. Mr F was wistfully wondering over the weekend when he might retire. He knows this isn't possible until he actually is retirement age & as he is a few years younger than me, that's quite a way off as yet. I did say though that me getting my pensions earlier than him may well mean he could drop a day a week & he really perked up at the thought of that.

When my friend retired from work, I went in the next day and wanted to cry it was so weird without her. Gradually the nice familiar people I worked with from the start have been retiring and it’s just not the same anymore just as you say about your workplace.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

I'm a firm believer that we need to acknowledge that the loss of colleagues we're close to is important and we need time to adjust. I miss certain colleagues even after years. Thankfully there is also a bunch of new people who are great to work with at my place.
It's lovely that you will still see your friend outside work. One reason to keep working is so you can meet up with her.Hopefully you have something planned soon?

So I have a stupid question that I've never thought of before. I have a £50 overdraft on my current account and I refuse to use it. I tried to get rid of it but the bank wouldn't let me 🤷♀️Any way is that £50 part of my available balance or not .....ie I have £100 left in the bank so is £50 of that my overdraft, I have presumed it is and always subtract £50 from my bank balance when I check it but this morning I'm second guessing myself 😂😂I am also slowly loosing my marbles so forgive me for having to ask this in the first place 😂😂Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1201
