My journey to a debt free life

I think you are right Cumbria. I seem to remember them doing that now as I had to pay ex the difference out of my own money. That would explain why the payments went cheaper
Ignore my previous post!
We are both the same council too, if I remember rightly. xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.

Sorry about your harrowing work day

I love the idea of shopping from home.

OBL - I have nothing but respect for NHS staff. Despite everything with Mum being desperately sad, I really can't fault the care she was given, & although there were days on that ward where the understaffing was such that staff members were doing 2 people's jobs, we were never made to feel that we were being a nuisance asking for information or for assistance for Mum. The staff were lovely. They were very professional, but were caring too, & many of them asked how we were holding up as people going through the horrible time of watching our Mum die. They made sure we had free car parking passes & I don't think there was a single day we visited when we weren't offered coffee at some point during the day. NHS staff earn their money for sure, & I wish it was more reflective of their value to society. As a committed Leftie, I've campaigned for the NHS & will continue to do so when the opportunity arises.

Sorry to hear of your bad day. It's hard to think about anything else isn't it.
I'm glad I've found a fellow Pinterest lover. I will say that it's free in comparison to your magazines so you're winning. Plus I like how you can keep looking at different things so it doesn't matter you can't buy it as you're still deciding how to get it completely right. You can't rush these things lol.
I am planning on waiting until black friday and beyond for my Christmas shopping as I've been burnt by over paying before and it is devastating. I say this and today I bought my first thing. It's toys for my girls. They've gone really cheap. I'm trying to stay calm and wait but I can't. I don't think they will go this cheap again. Normally I have a plan of what to get people by now to keep an eye out but I haven't planned anyone's yet! Too much other stuff going on I think. But definitely a job get on with. Very jealous of your Christmas savings. I was talking to someone who had already written their cards the other day xxxxLoan 1 £5200/£8000
Loan 2 £300/£5800

Sorry work hasn't been a good day. I hope tomorrow is better for you when you are back.
They do back date the council tax. I got a refund earlier this year when Ex left and we had the money refunded into the account we were paying from. I pay £93 a month now instead of around £150. that's a huge difference.

Good to hear you haven't got the cold. I get ulcers more if I'm stressed or run down so may I just add, take care of yourself? Rest, vitamins, fluid etc...x
My ulcer is probably self inflicted,I chew my lips when I'm reading or concentrating and it's porbaby as a result of that,I try not to do it but often don't realise I amOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1201 -

Pinterest gets me into trouble all the time,my DD comes in and says " god your not looking at it again are you" :rotfl:I think it's very inspirational though
I waited to start my shopping last year,I didn't start it until around the second week of December, but I was a nervous wreck by the time I went shopping :rotfl: I was so worried I wouldn't be able to find anything but in the end I bought everything I wanted to and a lot of it was half price so I did well
I have bought one present so far .......a tube of Jellytots for my DD,she is 31 but she loves them and they are vegan so she can actually have them,we went into town today for a look around but i didn't buy anything because she was with me,I got lots of ideas though,I'm next off on Tuesday so I've told her to give me a list of possibilities and I'm going to buy hers on Tuesday,I haven't got to buy for many but I just can't seem to make a start
I can't remember where my Xmas cards are :rotfl:
One of my work colleagues has done everything and wrapped it all:eek:Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1201 -
I did not sleep well at all last night,my mouth was throbbing and woke me up a few times then I had stuff going round in my head,I should have got up and read but was desperate for sleep,as a result of this I slept in until 10 am when the cat woke me up climbing on my bed
Me and DD decided to go into town in the end she took me for lunch then we had a look round for pressy ideas,I didn't buy anything but I've got a few ideas now for her at least,I just kept looking at everything and thinking"do we really need it" it feels like buying stuff for the sake of it,luckily DD likes to read so I can definitely gets her a couple of books,I'm also going to get her some more body cream from Lush because she loves it and does actually use it
We walked into town and walked home again where it proceeded to Chuck it down,so we got a bit soggy
I haven't managed to do any sewing today because we got home too late and I'm tired now,I'm just going to take the dog out then I might have a go later
I hope everyone has had a good weekend,I can't believe Sunday is over nearly alreadyOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1201 -
