I was out on the town last night but surprisingly in not too bad shape this morning - no headache. Didn't mix drinks, and no wine, perhaps that's why? ...0

Hello
7/20 for March and 3/3 for the weekend challenge
I think I might have got in a muddle with the challenges as this will also be 1/5 on the SNC for this week.... but whatever, I haven't had a drink so let's count it every way we can!Say what you mean.. mean what you say... without being mean.0 -
OH and I love a drink of scotch in the evening. We aim to make a litre bottle last about a fortnight. Up to a few months ago we were failing badly. Then I bought an optic and hung it on the wall (£16ish from ebay) our glass of scotch is now measured, and the bottle is lasting quite a bit longer.
I'm pretty certain the optic has paid for itself, and we've truly not noticed any difference.0 -
Congrats Annie!
Glad you're feeling a bit better CuppaTea.
Fancy optic sounds like a good plan GSD.

Thank you Glendasugarbean.
Managed another afd yesterday, due to be very hungover but by pleased with myself as had all the family round for DD's birthday and a lot of wine was flowing. I was not even tempted. My problem is wine, have been thinking about it a lot lately. Should I just give it up completely. I don't seem to have a stop button with it. Any other drinks I can take or leave. I love gin but after two I'm done.Same with lager. Will carry on trying to be af for now.
So yesterday was another afdfor me. Off out for a posh lunch today for the birthday girl, so sparkling water it is.Total weight lost 6.5/73lbs starting yet again. Afds August 10/15. /8 Sept.0 -
I’m feeling really good and chirpy this morning. Lovely to wake clear headed for 2 mornings in a row.
Will call early today as it’s monday. I don’t drink Mondays as driving.
7/17 and a smiley. Whoop whoop.
Keep going every one even if you’ve slipped. I know that feeling all too well!!!Live for the moment and plan for the future0 -

It's a myth that mixing drinks is what causes the hangover - grape and grain etc. The reason people can feel bad after a night when they mixed them is actually down to the fact that nights when people have both are usually heavy drinking nights. It's the total amount of alcohol that's the problem.
One G&T before dinner, two glasses of wine with dinner and a liqueur afterwards is quite a serious amount of booze, whether they're poured at home (even bigger) or at a pub (measured, smaller).OH and I love a drink of scotch in the evening. Brilliant idea! My drinking started to get OTT when we bought a dozen or so (minimum) 10 litre wine boxes, which used to be sit on the side in the kitchen once opened. With a wine bottle you know when you open a second bottle, but with a 10 litre box (the equivalent of 15!) helping yourself is just too easy.
Arsenal Barnie, if you always stop after two G&Ts and don't after two glasses of wine, that might help you control your intake. I just never stopped no matter what I drank, and I tried everything - beer, (which I don't even like), G&T, everything. It took me a while to get up to speed on the aternatives, but I always managed it, sadly.
11/31 please, Shaggy.Better is good enough.0
