That's good to hear Karen. Sorry to hear that you and loveasale have been through a tough time but you're both still here and working at it. That's what matters. Is it AA that recommends 'constant vigilance'? Although most of us have developed good AF habits it doesn't mean it's always easy.:(
No plans for me to drink tonight.
7 AFDs please Shaggy.0 -
Green Karen, sorry to hear how tough life has been for you recently - huge hugs.
Loveasale, glad to hear you feel better today already, hope that upbeat feeling stays with you now you have it back.
Shaggy, please can I commit to 4/5 for this week’s SNC and a target of 12 in March. Thanks very much!0 -

Went totally off the rails with alcohol. There were three contributory factors.
1/ I had a cancer scare and was fast tracked for a two week turnaround of investigations, hopefully all OK and just waiting for one final result, but I was poked, camera'd and prodded in all areas, thankfully whilst under anaesthetic! I cannot praise the NHS enough on the speed and thoroughness of the process.
2/ My mum's COPD has rapidly worsened and it looks like we have weeks rather than months.
3/ The house build has been like pulling teeth getting people to finish jobs when it's all so close. And so many stupid things going wrong. I cannot get across how frustrating it has been.
So I used my old 'friend' to get by again. And it helped in so much as I could send myself to sleep every night. Lying in bed mulling over all my woes wasn't helping sleep and my days were like climbing a steep set of stairs to exhaustion.
But I am back and feeling more in control again, rather than being controlled. It's good to know all goes on in the forum and it's always there.
Awww GK feel for you so much. This is how I cope. I keep trying to find a different way but it's yet to happen.....
Cancer scares are beyond scary. Hoping all is well.
Ill parents are beyond scary. Biggest hugs.
Building projects
