Out with a friend yesterday for lunch and for the very first time in the UK when I asked for an AF beer at a restaurant, I was given a choice! Never happened before. And - it was a restaurant I've been to half a dozen times over the past ten years and they've never even had one before. That's huge progress and shows AF beers now going mainstream. The friend, by the way, had never had one before at all, so we ordered both types, she tasted both and we then repeated our order later during the meal. Another convert. She's not going AF, it's just another choice to add to her options. Excellent.

That's good news about the AF beer HB. Good to know that the service industry is keeping up with trends...at last!


I had an unexpected AF night (again!) yesterday, so my score is looking a bit more respectable. Our designated driver had to cry off due to illness and I nobly volunteered!:D I'm not a beer fan (AF or otherwise) so I had tonic and water. Spurred on by the thread I had a cuppa when I got home, previously I'd have played catch up.

13/15 today. I had wine on Friday and then yesterday... well I support the Welsh rugby team and went out to watch the match... let's just leave it there!
