Afternoon :hello:
Hit my first block of 50 AFDs for 2019 yesterday :T Very happy with that!
ShaggyxWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -

I have in the past cut down to 21 units for about 18 months, and 14 units for about 8 months, but as I'm sure everyone on here knows, the battle is never won. It isn't particularly adversely effecting my life, but I know that I'm courting health disaster in the long term if I continue.
So I'm trying again, I even went to an AA meeting (I say 'even' because their goal is abstaining). I thought that the experience might help me, but I don't think that it was for me.
There are plenty of posters on here who seem to have managed to have cut down but I think they all "stay vigilant" if you know what I mean....
I can relate to the fear of drinking too much and ending up with health problems...totally....What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. I am up to 10/14 for this month.
Interesting what chucknorris and loveasale posted a little while ago.
I was only saying last night that once I start a bottle, that's it, I know it will be gone. Having said that, there is a 3/4 full bottle of wine in my fridge at the moment. It was the result of 1 bottle not being enough on Sunday, so I started the second, but then managed to stop, hurrah!
I am fine with that bottle sitting there, but I know that if I was to take one sip, I would go, oh sod it and before I knew it, it would all be gone.
But then I am the same with most things. Started on the chocolate digestives last night after dinner and couldn't find the off button, but if I hadn't started eating them in the first place, I would have been fine! Managed to stop at 3 when the packet was taken off me and hidden.
I'm not sure whether I can successfully cut down my drinking, but so far it is going well. I keep a tally on a my phone on an app and yes while I am still going over the weekly limit on the few days (try to keep it to Fri and Sat), I am drinking less overall which can only be a good thing.Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010
