Great post as always Honey Bear, and thank you for your kind thoughts.
The term Shaglets made me snigger, first time I've laughed today!!

  • Sorry, not got back into the habit of coming on here daily again yet. I'm still doing dry January, so am on 28/31 for Jan and have done the school night challenges.

I am undecided what to do once January is over, part of me fancies carrying on but I have a few evenings out planned, so am going to try and cut back. No drinking during the week unless going out (unusual ask usually knackered after work) and cut down at weekends.
What goes around comes around.....I hope!

28/31, please Shaggy. I'm loving the February pictures, particularly the sparkly one! I'm over hankering for a drink now. Up to mid Jan. I definitely felt a bit jittery about not having a drink in the evening/with Sunday lunch, but that's now subsided. I'm trying to reinforce good no alcohol consumption habits by watching the alcohol related clips on the beeb news site.
    Onwards to February!
  • Read an interesting article yesterday about alcohol and anxiety - seems that higher anxiety levels can continue to spike for a period after your finish drinking. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2019/jan/27/hangxiety-why-alcohol-gives-you-a-hangover-and-anxiety

Well done to everyone for some impressive January totals, and thank you to Shaggy for keeping us going :).

28/25 and 2/5 for me today please.

I'll have a read of that later, but it sounds very interesting. Thanks for posting the link.

    29/31 please, Shaggy.

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.
