3/25 AFDs for yesterday, first trip away for probably 20 years that I've not had a single alcoholic drink.
  • 4/25 for me please and can you sign me up to 2 for the weekend challenge please, Shaggy?

Thank you cathybird for your welcome! I survived and didn't cave in, even when the OH OPENED a bottle of wine and had a glass. Next hurdle will be Sunday lunch. 3/31 so far.

Thank you for all of your kind thoughts. I'm still missing Kelpie dreadfully, but knowing that there are lovely people out there helps enormously.

Keep posting even if it's not going well, in fact, keep posting especially when it's not going well (if you're anything like I am!) :):)

That's great advice Green Karen. It's so easy to self sabotage, have a bad couple of days and then give up altogether. For those of us that were daily drinkers, any AF days are a bonus. I'm not knocking Dry January, as I think it's an excellent way to get started, but please don't give up if you can't manage the whole 31 days. Take it a day at a time.:)

Good to see you posting HB.:)

Well done rosy. It must be much harder with your OH drinking. I was fortunate as when I started having AF days my DH was on a beer phase and I don't like the stuff so I wasn't tempted. It's a good idea to look forward to Sunday lunch and plan. You could buy in a special soft drink, have it in a wine glass, try non alcoholic wine, just be smug and saintly and drink water.... Whatever helps you get through.:)

I'm calling now for tonight. I don't think it'll be as difficult as other Fridays as I've lost track of what day of the week it is lately.:rotfl:

3/10 AFDs please Shaggy and 3/3 for the SNC.

2/15 for me today. I have my last shift at M&S tomorrow morning so staying sober tonight as it's an early start.
Hoping the job market picks up this month, or things will start to get very difficult indeed.
