Thank you cathybird for your welcome! I survived and didn't cave in, even when the OH OPENED a bottle of wine and had a glass. Next hurdle will be Sunday lunch. 3/31 so far.0

Thank you for all of your kind thoughts. I'm still missing Kelpie dreadfully, but knowing that there are lovely people out there helps enormously.Did it! Toasted the NY in with decaf tea!
Well done!

That's great advice Green Karen. It's so easy to self sabotage, have a bad couple of days and then give up altogether. For those of us that were daily drinkers, any AF days are a bonus. I'm not knocking Dry January, as I think it's an excellent way to get started, but please don't give up if you can't manage the whole 31 days. Take it a day at a time.:)
Good to see you posting HB.:)Thank you cathybird for your welcome! I survived and didn't cave in, even when the OH OPENED a bottle of wine and had a glass. Next hurdle will be Sunday lunch.
Well done rosy. It must be much harder with your OH drinking. I was fortunate as when I started having AF days my DH was on a beer phase and I don't like the stuff so I wasn't tempted. It's a good idea to look forward to Sunday lunch and plan. You could buy in a special soft drink, have it in a wine glass, try non alcoholic wine, just be smug and saintly and drink water.... Whatever helps you get through.:)
I'm calling now for tonight. I don't think it'll be as difficult as other Fridays as I've lost track of what day of the week it is lately.:rotfl:
3/10 AFDs please Shaggy and 3/3 for the SNC.0 -

Hoping the job market picks up this month, or things will start to get very difficult indeed.Say what you mean.. mean what you say... without being mean.0
