Morning all, 27/21 for me today thanks. Heigh ho, goodbye November. This year has gone quickly.0
-
Sorry I haven't been around so much - getting xmas busy!
Good news the decorators finished Monday - so all work men have gone until summer next year. Bed to come Friday and new carpet in the new year. Yay!
Green Karen how is your new build coming along?
Great news on the house Shaggy. What a relief that must be for you. We just have the decorators and joiner in now, they hope to be finished by Xmas, then it's time for floorings and a few finishing jobs for the window fitters (my last one disappeared without finishing the job!) plumber and electricians, then we can finally move in (fingers crossed for Feb).
There's no doubt building your own house is a very MSE thing to do, however you can't underestimate the amount of time it will take and all the stress. And I have the utmost respect for people who do it and still work!
29/29 AF
5/5 SNC
Can I set a target of 20 for Dec please.0 -
I am calling it early as I won’t drink today, so that takes me up to 29/27, thank you for keeping my score for me.
Having drank on just one day in Nov means that, with my three month total break in the summer and just four days in Oct, that I’ve drank on five occasions over the last five months.
December will be a challenge though and I really don’t know what sort of target to set; I can easily say no to any parties but it’s the family get-togethers that will be a challenge.0 -
Finishing November on 15/12 for yesterday please Shaggy0

Hi my total in 5/5 for the SNC
Monthly - AFD to date 26/27
Still deciding what to do tonight - have a party to go, and might have a drink or might drive!
Put me down for 5/5 for next weeks SNC0 -
Good afternoon everyone,
Great to see all the stalwarts posting it fills me with that feeling that the family are all coming together. Interesting post CathyB regarding the targets. It made me think on the reasons why I tend to aim low, it's probably a mixture of lack of confidence in my own ability to not drink (although I feel I have managed to overcome that particular demon) and the fact that I get a sense of satisfaction when I beat the target. I often go target free, not for any other reason other then I can't think beyond one day at a time, and therefore anything is better than nothing.
On the flip side I'm away overnight on Saturday with a group of girlfriends. I tend to try and avoid these types of social events like the plague. I have told myself to be sensible and drink accordingly.....so hopefully I'll try, but I know what I can be like. I'm becoming anxious about the whole thing, it's absolutely ridiculous at my age, but there we are.

ooops forgot to post 23 please Shaggy

I have 4/5 for the SNC. Didn't reach target due to drinking on Wednesday, but I will get over it.
On the flip side, I managed 19 for November and and up to 150 for the year (which was last year's total, so not bad with a whole month still go!).Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010
Mortgages (End 2017) - £180,235.03
(End 2021) - £131,215.25 DID IT!!!
(End 2022) - Target £116,213.810 -
Morning all, 1/21 for me today please.

I'm the same Arkers, I'd much rather try for a target I know I can beat. Hey good luck with your Saturday night do. I am dreading the work Christmas do in much the same way, I think.0
