25 of a potential 30 days is still a very good achievement for someone who used to drink 5-6+ pints every day!
And I do prefer to set a high target then aim for it, the closer I get to it the better but that mind-set doesn't work for everyone
25/30 is bloody brilliant for someone who used to drink 5-6+ pints every day!! :T:T0 -

I want to up the stakes and commit early for this evening to up the stakes so it will be drumming day for me today. I appreciate this was 3 weeks ago for most of you but I’m happy!
Oh yes I know - I thought it was funny!A lot of people struggle at this time of year I think, as the festive season cranks up.
I am really hoping you and Green Karen go in the annual challenge again this year, it would be great - I'm mentioning her in the same post as she was also concerned about targets etc. Honestly, the more the merrier.0 -
2/5 and 23/30 please.

Confirming my AFD this evening. I’m definitely in for the annual challenge next year and the thing holding me back is seeing what I can do for this year and oh hell with it, I’d like to try again for a wretched banana 150 days please Cathybird! Third time lucky, right.
I have this secret hope of beating last year which is a) unlikely and b) doesn’t really affect 2019 anyway.0 -

Green Karen, I thought you'd been doing brilliantly the last month or so and actually I had been going to say so at the end of Nov!! A total of 24 days on the 25th of the month is a fabulous effort.
Are you sure you wouldn't like to go TF in the annual challenge? Maman is and Arkers did last year. That way there's no pressure but you can still see the numbers building up over the year.
I think setting for TF for the annual challenge is a brilliant idea Cathybird. Please put me in for that, it will help me keep on track then towards the end of the year I can possibly set a target to give me a last push! Really good points about some posters setting low targets being encouraging(as I have done on many an occasion in the past), when I am not doing very well I don't feel such a failure when I hit target even if it is low.
Nicnak - am definitely going to get some Lidl mulled wine. I was considering whether to drink or not over Xmas and thought the only thing I would really miss is mulled wine, it always feels Christmassy.
I think getting through Nov with only one drinking day is a really big deal Season of Mist, there are months in the past where I would have been hard pushed to get through with only one none drinking day!!! :rotfl:
Enjoy your night out on Friday and celebrate the new job Fatrab. Forget the little blip on the scales, you are doing so well with everything in your life.
I think it's a really good aim you have maman to be going for more AF nights and cutting down on the ones when you do drink, it's great to have diversity on here and not be judgmental as you and others have commented.
Well done PriceySOS for turning the month around, that's always tough.
Pollyanna it's great that you can beat last year's total. It doesn't matter that you missed for this year, try to think of it as too high a target rather than a miss! There are many people out there who would be delighted with your total (including me!) and aren't doing anything about it.
Happy belated birthday Sukeyboo!
Wanna be free let's try and get the wretched banana together (though mine will be a TF wretched banana)!
28/29 Nov
4/5 SNC - thanks Shaggy!0 -
14/12 please Shaggy - so black cat day for me
:D:D
Forgot to let you know about the annual challenge for 2019 Cathybird - please can I go for 150 again?
Thanks for the mention on the Lidl non-alcoholic mulled wine - I will definitely give that a whirl0
