Sending you a big hug Shaggy. You did really well to resist.:)

Sounds painful but if it helps...:D

That's the strange thing about this thread. Everyone is helpful and supportive but there still manages to be accountability built in. We're disappointed with ourselves when we slip up. Just try and learn from it and move on.:)

Glad you managed last night cuppa. I know what you mean about declaring early. It took me years to reach that point. When I started, posting was the last thing I did before bed.:)

    I'm not drinking today.

12/10 AFDs please Shaggy and 4/4 for the SNC.

    Good afternoon everyone,
Shaggy - sorry to hear you had sad news, crumb of comfort that you didn't have a drink.
Cuppa - you sound positive despite a few negatives, keep going.

    23 please Shaggy
    10 for November.

Calling early for today. To be honest, I feel like calling early for the month since I have found out I am allergic to it. Might as well call early for the year then... Although I have inadvertently consumed alcohol without realising it until I started to get the reaction.

Today is 24/31 for me and 4/5 for school nights xx

How are you allergic to it? Hope you don't mind me asking!

    24/25 AFDs today
  • Cuppatea it was really weird when you posted after your bad day. I was just having a cup of tea and thinking cuppatea and wondered what had happened to you, how strange. Glad you're back on the straight and narrow again and keeping trying :T

Sorry Shaggy about your news. Hope you're OK.

    25/31 AF and 5/5 SNC

Not sure if you're taking yet for the weekend challenge but please out me down for 2.

Evening all, 13/17 for me today please. :)
  • 22/21 for me, despite socialising and being pressured to drink (again!). May have to have an honest conversation with this particular friend and tell him to knock it off. Plus DH drank too much last night again - am getting very tired of this. May have to talk to him too. Feeling bolshy!

    Hi,

I don't mind. I have no idea. I had sepsis in May and since then it is like there is a reset button that has changed what my body can and can't cope with. At the same time as the sepsis, I had an allergic reaction to 'something' (they don't know what, or what infection caused the sepsis either). This resulted in a full body rash (Urticaria). They think it was some antibiotics that i had had the week before, but i had had them several times before and never had a reaction to them.

Well, since then, I am allergic to a number of food/drink items that i have always been ok with. Alcohol, sea brooks crips, slushy are just a few. It's pretty scary when I have a bad reaction as I genuinely feel like I can't breathe.

I knew what sepsis was (thankfully to recognise the symptoms) but didn't realise how much of an impact is has on your body afterwards.

    26/31 for me, please
    5/5
and 2 for the weekend, please x

I'm struggling with this too. 'just try this one'. It's really frustrating. x

Sorry to hear you have had sad news Shaggy and well done for resisting.
Cuppa if it helps I know what you mean and personally continue to struggle on occasions, having far too many s*d it momements.
Don't think I will get to target, on leave next week but to date 5 SNC and 10/14. Please May I have a November target of 14 again - and very much hoping to exceed that.

Also thanks a Honey B for advice re caffeine. I'm in hotels this week but will try when back home. Need to buy some decaf teabags too.
