Everyone Welcome Anytime of the Month!
What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

    Ooh, November already!

I feel I've barely got started on October. I'm blaming the lovely weather, it doesn't feel like it's almost November. Thanks for putting me on the list Shaggy.:)

Well done on the healthy eating MissP. That alongside sensible drinking is a perfect partnership!:D

I'm hoping for a cat too sukey.:)

    No drinking here today.

11/10 AFDs please Shaggy and 3 for the SNC.

Still not sleeping though, I'd give a lot not to wake throughout the night.

Caffeine's often the problem. Half the people who make it to sleep clinics are told to give it up completely and it cures them. I've gone over to decaffinated and even with that if I drink too much of it or drink it after 1.00 pm, that's it, I'm awake half the night.

I've also discovered that if I cut out the one and only Beck's Blue with dinner I don't need to get up in the middle of the night and mornings are nowhere near as painful if you get my drift. I'm low on it at the moment, so it'll be a while before I stock up again because comfortable sleepy nights are blissful. I drink about six mugs of Lavazza real decaf in the mornings and then fruit tea in the afternoon, so I'm getting enough in the way of liquids.

    24/31 please, Shaggy.
    Better is good enough.

I don't think I'm going to meet my target for October but am pleased with how it's gone in general, ignoring last Sunday!

I'm out at Bootcamp tonight so definitely won't drink, taking me to 15/21 (and I've got a black cat!!) and 3/4 for the SNC.

I'll set a target of 21 for November and will try very hard to beat it.

November target of 21/30 AFDs today
  • Calling early for today. To be honest, I feel like calling early for the month since I have found out I am allergic to it. Might as well call early for the year then... Although I have inadvertently consumed alcohol without realising it until I started to get the reaction.

Today is 24/31 for me and 4/5 for school nights xx

    Starting afresh.

Hi everyone, I have finally got around to checking back in. I have been putting it off if I am honest, in denial, drinking more and more. Making promises to myself and then ignoring them. Feel embarrassed to admit it.

I hit a new high (and not one to be proud of) last week with the amount I consumed over the week. I feel absolutely shocked and disgusted with myself and physically I feel rubbish. I have had stomach pains and bad nights sleep. I do not know why I do it. The cravings for alcohol have become worse. I used to drink 2/7 days a week, then it crept to 3/4 and last week it was 5. With a bottle of wine at a time, I can not afford to keep that up physically mentally or financially.

I promised myself tonight I would not drink as I have to get up very early to drive and so naturally its a good night not too. Yet come early afternoon the thought to put a bottle in the fridge was tempting. But I googled drink aware, how many nights drink free a week should I have and scared myself with horror stories of what I read. Then I remembered to come back on here, as it helps.

I need to give myself a long hard break away from alcohol to reset everything. I have got into really bad habits. No one else but me knows, as I function ok and my body has got used to a bottle at a time, so the hangovers are minimal if at all.

That sounds terrible.......hangs head in shame.

I do not know how to tackle it. But for tonight I will not be taking that first drink, decision made. I feel too uncomfortable in my body and I think its crying out for me not to.

All my hard work from recent years has gone down the drain. I do not want to give up completely, but I do seriously need to regain control again.
Live for the moment and plan for the future
