No plans to drink today. I know I just won't.
My plan is to achieve my 14 day smiley at least this month.:)
March will be harder as I have a birthday and a week's holiday but I'll think about that when we get there.
11/10 AFDs please Baileys.0 -
10/14 for today please Baileys0

Way to go Fatrab! That shows how tempting the idea of a pint is, but how strong you can be when you're absolutely determined. You have admirable self-control. *respect*Baileysonice wrote: »i'm afraid I am being a bit of a wimp by avoiding as many social situations as possible to avoid temptation
That's not wimpy, that's just sensible. I had to do it for months when I gave up and it means that friends now totally accept that I won't always automatically attend social events. Frankly that in itself is a godsend. I've realised I've been doing a lot of stuff for years just because it seemed to be expected of me, not because I wanted to. Now I'm much freer to pick and choose.March will be harder as I have a birthday and a week's holiday but I'll think about that when we get there.
Well done Maman on sailing past your target, and with more than a week to go! March will fall into place but holidays seem to be a bit tricky for almost everyone. And if it's your own birthday, it's not that unusual to have a few bevvies, is it?
20/28 please, Baileys and may I say you're doing a fabby job! :TBetter is good enough.0 -
20/28 for me today too please Baileys, looking forward to my next badge @ 21 days!
Thanks for the encouragement! I sat staring at it and told myself over and over that I didn't want it, my wife was no help, she was telling me to have it and she'd drive home. My oldest son was there and he was having a pint anyway so I passed it to him.
I'm not struggling in social situations, I went to the pub to watch the rugby a few weeks ago and happily sat there with a soda & lime, I don't know what came over me on Sunday. You can have results or excuses, but not both.Challenge - be 14 Stone BY XMAS!

Yay, thanks Bailey, I love getting the next smiley! I agree with Honey Bear, you're really doing a brilliant job.
Also, looking at the list, what leaps out at me is that while often posters seem to be feeling a bit down, and report that they're struggling, the numbers say we're all doing really well and trying hard - at least that's what they say to me! Both things can be true at the same time, I guess :rotfl:0 -

I agree Honey Bear, it does help with keeping up with the AFDs if you're a bit of a homebody. I suspect everyone gets more this way as they get older? I used to go out to a lot of things when I was in my twenties and looking back on it I really didn't enjoy a lot of it and I don't know why I bothered. It was almost as though I didn't notice I wasn't enjoying it, or rather that I thought I ought to enjoy it, because it was what people did, so I dismissed the fact that I was bored and uncomfortable a lot of the time. On top of that I would drink a lot to cope with being bored and uncomfortable! Why didn't I just stay home, sigh0 -
Good afternoon,
12 please Baileys.

4/10 for last night for me please. Determined to get to target this month, which means Mon-Thur AF. Had one unplanned drinking day last week which means no room for any this week. Work is so stressful I am finding it difficult not to come home and reach for a glass, but I am determined to keep at it, especially since I didn't have a single AFD whilst on holidayWhat goes around comes around.....I hope!0
