I have so much respect for your consistent approach maman. When I think about it 10 is about the total of AFDs I achieved for the whole of last year so I would set targets not achieve even one day so didn't return to the thread. not big or clever so I think the way you always achieve and over achieve your target is something to be really proud of :)

That's a very kind thing to say Baileys and very much appreciated. :)

I'm a great believer in the achievable element of SMART targets.

When I joined the thread I had zero AF days each month so 10 which roughly translates as one day in three was a big step. I'm now pushing it closer to half the month. There have been other successes along the way such as being able to stop on the days I choose to drink and not coming home late at night and quickly drinking a bottle to make up for the rest of the evening. For me it's all about making new habits to replace the old, bad ones. I've never wanted to give up (although I'm full of admiration for those that do) . I'm happy that I can enjoy a drink with no hangovers or embarrassing behaviour. :D

BTW, re other halves, don't most people still meet them at work anyway? Or through friends or family? ... Most couples I know met via one of those two means, but I'm sure online dating plays a role these days too. And apparently there have even been six marriages via MSE! So there you go :rotfl:

I met my wife in a kebab shop's car park! :rotfl:

Her sister was going out with the delivery driver's mate so they were hanging around the shop, we got to know each other and ended up in a relationship a few years later after a chance meeting in a local nightclub. As you do.... :)

Honest post alert. Things have been going downhill lately. My rules have slipped and I!!!8217;m not being accountable to myself. Lately I!!!8217;ve been drinking 3-4 bottles of wine a week and once I!!!8217;ve started a bottle, I!!!8217;m guaranteed to finish it that night.

I!!!8217;m ashamed to admit this but I!!!8217;m hoping getting it out there will help. It has to stop because I don!!!8217;t feel great on it and I!!!8217;m worried that I!!!8217;m on the tip of the wrong road. I don!!!8217;t won!!!8217;t my health affected long term.

    11/17 please.

On a positive though you have 11 days under your belt and still 7 days of the month left. One thing I have learned by my dreadful drinking history is that I can't change the past but i will change the future. Well done on 11 :T
