Everyone Welcome Anytime of the Month! What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -
Anyone up for a school night challenge for this week? 5 nights or 4?
I would set a target for myself of 5 - Sunday through to Friday....What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Shaggy, I'll join you on the school run challenge - I don't have anything social pencilled in till next Saturday. I'm a day late, only saw it this morning, I hope that doesn't count? ...
Honey Bear, I confess I'm not doing so well on the sugar-free thing either, in fact made an entire (small) batch of choc brownies and over the course of four days have eaten the lot! Ha ha, so much for my sugar-free chocolate drive. I probably should feel repentant but I enjoyed it too much, I'm afraid.:o

I've found it to be especially hard to lose weight this time, I usually put my mind to it and get on with it but it's just not been happening this time around. I think I've been a victim of my own success this year to certain degree. I did really well at tidying up my finances but in the process freed up some expendable income which seems to continue to disappear, mainly on food.Honey_Bear wrote: »Good luck with the weight loss, FatRab. I'm having no luck with it at all, but I now realise that when I'm stressed and overtired my sugar and cheddar consumption goes through the roof, and they're my two foods that guarantee weight gain. I'm still trying to shift 8lbs but that's a lot better than the 12 it's been for a few years. I'm getting there, but it's taking far too long to lose a relatively small amount of weight which is worrying.
Big portions, snacking and take-aways are my problem. I'm not into crisps or sweets, I'd never sit and munch my way through a multi-pack of anything (Mrs fatrab would eat crisps until they came out of her ears), but every meal we cook falls into the XXL portion size. Every takeaway has starters, mains and sides, usually enough to feed a small army.
But we went shopping yesterday and have only bought food for the meal plan that we made so hopefully we'll stick to it. And I've re-started my spending diary to keep a better eye on where money is going. You can have results or excuses, but not both.Challenge - be 14 Stone BY XMAS!
