Cutting Down Alcohol Thread

Hi, I've been lurking around this and the old thread for a while and decided it's time to get involved.
At one point last year I was drinking 5 or 6 nights per week, usually only a few pints but sometimes that was creeping up to double figures. The amount of money I was frittering was scary and I was at my heaviest.
Since November I've been cutting down. Hardly had a drink at all over Xmas or New Year and January was quite quiet too.
So I'm currently at 8 AFD's in Feb and haven't had any alcohol since Sunday 28th Jan. I've lost over a stone since boxing day and I'm determined to have a dry February.
Hi fatrab and welcome to our friendly gangI will add you to the list. Do you have a target for Feb or just seeing how you go?

Welcome FatRab! I find not having to decide if today is a day when I can or can't drink makes life simpler. Good luck with it and well done on the weightloss so far.Baileysonice wrote: »I asked her yesterday honey bear and she said to ask the board guides so i have asked Fermi

3 weeks of no beer and I have put on 2lbs, must stop raiding the grandkids treat box!
Dinner tonight was real Thai food cooked by a Thai relative
Delicious but spicy so I missed my cold beer - for about 30 seconds then forgot about it and drank water0 -

Yeah I know the feeling I am 4llb heavier since Christmas and its all to do with replacing those glasses of wine with food. it has to be healthier though than replacing food with wine which was my old world :eek:0 -
