No drinking planned here.:)
5/10 AFDs please Baileys.
Thanks for asking to get the old thread locked. It'll keep our annual totals safe. I agree we should start new threads either monthly or annually. It's not just more secure that way but new posters are more likely to be attracted to a new thread.0 -

Hi
8/28 please Baileys
I like the idea of a new thread every month but not sure if it would be too much work for administration.

I also think a new thread every month is probably going to be a bit scattered - there are quite a few annual threads/challenges, like the "Save £12K" thread, and they never seem to disappear, so think we would be safe if we did a new one every year. I get the impression that there are lurkers who read over the old threads, too, so it would be nice if we could keep track of them and that would be difficult with a monthly thread. Just my two bobs' worthIn April I am taking a break from buying: Books

Did manage to stay AF yesterday so that makes 5/14 for me please Baileys.
A yearly thread sounds good to me too - as cathybird said I think a monthly one might get a bit disjointed.0 -
I've asked MSE Andrea to lock Thread 14 so we can access it if we want to. That way the Spam button isn't available so we won't lose it, and we can concentrate on this one for the rest of the year.
Thanks for the link to the smileys, Baileys, that'll be useful. 9/28 please.Better is good enough.0 -
Hi, I've been lurking around this and the old thread for a while and decided it's time to get involved.
At one point last year I was drinking 5 or 6 nights per week, usually only a few pints but sometimes that was creeping up to double figures. The amount of money I was frittering was scary and I was at my heaviest.
Since November I've been cutting down. Hardly had a drink at all over Xmas or New Year and January was quite quiet too.
So I'm currently at 8 AFD's in Feb and haven't had any alcohol since Sunday 28th Jan. I've lost over a stone since boxing day and I'm determined to have a dry February.
You can have results or excuses, but not both.Challenge - be 14 Stone BY XMAS!
