MSE News: Passport prices to increase

Update: We provided proof the applications were delivered by Special Delivery first thing on the Monday morning (before the rates went up on the Tuesday) but the passport office argued they didn't reach the correct department till the Wednesday morning!
There was a bit of to-ing and fro-ing but in the end they agreed to process the remaining two passports at the old rate, and they arrived in the post today.
Very glad we used Special Delivery, as if we hadn't been able to prove when they received them we would have been made to pay the additional £50!0
