    How is everyone?

I have a busy weekend, family birthday and friend of LO’s party. So it’s likely to be an expensive weekend, presents all bought (not wrapped though) but got parking, food etc to pay for.

I’ve found out I should get an extra £70 a month in my wages from April but that doesn’t take into account the new tax rules which I think come into effect also in April. That’s where the tax allowance in Scotland now becomes lower than the rest of the UK.

I don't know if you are really interested but if you earn £26000 you will pay the same tax as if you lived south of the border. Then 1p more for every extra £1.

Thanks bad memory, I don't think it's fair that it's more in Scotland but we're not seeing any benefit of it, it just seems to be swallowed up.

But if you earn under £26000 then you will pay less tax than we do. Do you still get free prescriptions & free higher education?

Yes we do and I!!!8217;m grateful for that but seeing a lot of people getting older, cheaper medicines up here. I was prescribed something when taking ill in England and once home the GP called me in and asked to put me on something cheaper (her exact words). I just hope we do see benefit from it but it!!!8217;s not looking hopeful.

It!!!8217;s been a long day and not very money saving. Parking was £8! I just don!!!8217;t know how they can justify it. OH asked me for money again, he!!!8217;s completely messed up his bills yet again and the mobile I told him not to get is costing him a fortune.

Noticed my earlier posts are having the same problems with apostrophes as earlier in the week. Need to find a letter I got from work to do with the hassle I had. I had taken it to let my Mum see it but not sure what I did with it. I need to find it as it needs signed and returned.

5p more on my shopping bag savings.

Just told OH to go take a run and jump. Did the shopping at ALDI as usual (was feeling very pleased with myself as I got the weeks shop for £54), and got a nice roast, steak, pies, veggies etc and OH has just moaned that its all c@&p! That we would spend less on takeaways (once a week) if I bought decent branded food. I nearly threw the tin of beans I had in my hand at his head. Told him if he didnt want to eat it then fine starve, but he certainly seemed to like the porridge, fruit, bagels, lasagne etc etc we had last week. 10 minutes later I made bacon rolls and he said they were superb, told him he needs to watch what he says in front of LO or we will go through a battle like we had with SS (he moved out 2 years ago now and he went through a phase that he expected to be fed but nothing was good enough and he had put stuff in the bin that was perfectly good. He says now that was his Dads doing that he should have been leading by example and always asking me for recipes etc). He seems to forget who pays all the bills and yes I lent him the money, told him no more it doesnt grow on trees and his total he owes me is horrendous.
Sorry just feeling a bit tired and upset. My throat is sore and trying not to think the worst, just wish theyd hurry up and give me an appointment.

Saved 35p on bags by being prepared.
