In fairness, not quite what you were suggesting, but there is a link to this thread at the bottom of that news item.

But they still receive payments for around 40% of the tickets, arguably a more lucrative business model than bothering with ATA membership fees, codes of practice, dodgy debt collectors and incompetent solicitors.

How would anyone know if a none ATA member with
no trace receives payments of 40% ???
Where does that come from ??

Oh goody, advice to appeal on Not a GPEOL. Oh wait, that won't work since the Beavis case, so why is it still in there?
I married my cousin. I had to...

    Oh no, where??

    MSE - NO!

You cannot argue ''not a GPEOL'' in your template, over TWO YEARS after the Beavis case.

Even my teenage son who doesn't drive, knows not to include 'not a GPEOL' (not a genuine pre-estimate of loss) as an argument in a private PCN appeal or defence...even my cat knows that, or she probably does, from hearing me mutter about this awful advice. It is doomed and dangerous.

MSE please please please, sort out these horrendous issues with your advice. You cost people money.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The gullibility and ignorance of a large part of the general public.

I can't find the link now, but that figure has been mentioned several times in the past.

I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.

After all of these years, I'm still surprised that Martin Lewis is held in such high esteem. He is not financially qualified, he relies far too much on his research team and doesn't fact check for himself, he is way too quick to plagiarise other peoples' work as his own, and at the end of it all, he is simply another journalist and internet marketeer who has found a niche in selling affiliate products to the financially inept.

I've questioned his credibility for many years, especially around his very dodgy charity set up, but even this was spun into a positive news article for his army of sycophants when he was compelled to step down a few years ago - https://blog.moneysavingexpert.com/2010/12/16/im-leaving-the-mse-charity-trustees-hurrah/

It comes as no surprise that he has screwed up on this subject as well - he is not as switched on or trustworthy as many people like to believe.

Do you mean the people who have their boilers replaced by British Gas? Those who shop at Brighthouse? Those who pay £150 for a pair of trainers from Nike which they make for a fiver? Those who sell their scrap gold for less than a fifth of spot? Those who pay £20 for a Tee shirt? Those who pay for priority boarding on Ryanair?
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

Not forgetting all the people who voted to exit the EEU,
WITHOUT KNOWING the first thing about it ?
